This book of short stories proves that at one point Thren Felhorn had a heart and only became the power hungry, feared leader of the spider guild with the death of his wife at the hand of a rival guild. I am a little disappointed they did not go into much detail into the training Thren and his buddy Grayson went through at the hands of Muzien the darkhand but overall, we learned how the most feared man in all of Veldaren came to be who we met in Shadowdance.
