Arabella MacLeod was tortured by dragon hunters a decade ago. Ever since, her clan coddled and tip-toed around her, most especially her older brother. Desperate for a chance at freedom, she volunteers to foster with the Scottish dragon-shifter clan. She's determined to stay clear of the charming Scottish leader, but not only does he keep crossing her path, but her dragon is drawn to him.
Finlay Stewart hasn't been able to forget the scarred dragon woman he met at Stonefire six months ago. When the same female agrees to be fostered with his clan, Finn pursues her. Balancing his clan duties with his need to see Arabella isn't easy, especially with the existing rift in the clan, but he's determined to try. Arabella's inner strength draws him like no other female before.
Will Arabella trust Finn with her past? Or will the rift in his clan tear them apart?
I'm really excited to dive into the next book in the Stonefire Dragons series, Healed by the Dragon! This time, we're focusing on Arabella, and I have so many questions about her story. I'm eager to learn what exactly happened to her when she was captured by those awful dragon hunters, and how she's been coping ever since.
Remember how Melanie mentioned Arabella's fascination with doors in the first book? I'm hoping we finally get an explanation for that! I'm so curious to understand why she was taking pictures of doors and how that helped her deal with her trauma. It's been mentioned a few times now, so it must be significant.
Arabella is a survivor, and I've been looking forward to her story from the very beginning. I can't wait to see how she overcomes the challenges she's faced and finds healing and happiness. I have a feeling Finlay will play a big role in that journey, and I'm hoping they become true mates. I think their story has the potential to be incredibly powerful and moving.
Let's not waste any more time! I'm ready to jump right into Healed by the Dragon and see what unfolds. Join me as we explore Arabella's journey!
Wow, Jessie Donovan did not disappoint with Healed by the Dragon! She truly set the stage for a beautiful and powerful love story between Arabella and Finn. Arabella is such a broken soul, and seeing her find healing and love with Finn was incredibly moving. Donovan has a real talent for creating characters that you can't help but connect with, and Arabella and Finn are no exception. They've definitely become some of my favorites in the series.
I was especially drawn to Arabella's strength and resilience. Learning the full extent of what she endured while she was with the dragon hunters was heartbreaking, but it also gave me a deeper understanding of why she is the way she is. It's a testament to Donovan's writing that she can create such realistic and relatable characters, even when they're dealing with extraordinary circumstances. While I can't personally relate to Arabella's specific trauma, I felt a deep empathy for her struggles. That's what makes Donovan's books so compelling - she makes you forget that these characters are fictional.
I'm already eager to dive into the next book, Reawakening the Dragon! It sounds like it's Kai's turn to find love, and if the previous books are anything to go by, this one is going to be sizzling! I can't wait to see what happens next in the Stonefire Dragons series. See you all in the comments!
I just finished Healed by the Dragon by Jessie Donovan, and wow, what a powerful story! Before I dive into my thoughts, I want to give a quick disclaimer: This book is intended for mature audiences. Some adult language and situations might not be suitable for younger readers.
Spoiler Alert:
Okay, now let's talk about Arabella! She is an absolute force to be reckoned with. Not only is she incredibly tech-savvy, but she also has this amazing take-charge attitude that keeps Finn on his toes. I loved seeing her take the lead, especially when the Dragon Knights attacked. The way she orchestrated that whole defense strategy, using the security cameras and contacting the DoD through Bram, was brilliant! Arabella is a natural leader, and I'm so glad Finn recognizes and respects that.
This book was a thrilling ride from start to finish, and I'm already eager to jump into the next one, Reawakening the Dragon. It's Kai and Jane's turn in the spotlight, and their story will be just as captivating. See you in the next one!
