Book Synopsis

On her first visit to Clan Stonefire, Department of Dragon Affairs inspector Evie Marshall has an ulterior motive--she needs to seduce its clan leader. If she can't seduce him and become his mate, the dragon hunters will kill her. Of course, Evie doesn't know the first thing about seducing a man, let alone a dragon-shifter, but with her life on the line, she's going to have to become a fast learner or die trying.

Bram Moore-Llewellyn has a track record of scaring off DDA inspectors, but when the latest inspector shows up wearing tight clothes and a sexy smile, his inner dragon takes notice. While battling his attraction to the human, he soon finds himself with an impossible choice: he can either break the law to mate the female and risk a backlash from both the dragon hunters and the British government, or he can turn her away and let her die at the hands of the hunters.

NOTE: This is the complete second story arc of the Stonefire Dragons and contains all four parts of Seducing the Dragon. 18+ / HEA

The Hook

Get ready to dive back into the fiery world of the Stonefire Dragons!  I don't know about you, but after devouring Sacrificed to the Dragon, I'm absolutely ravenous for more. And let me tell you, Seducing the Dragon promises to be even hotter. This time, we're focusing on Bram, the oh-so-delectable leader of the clan. If the glimpses we got of him in the last book are anything to go by, Evie's in for the ride of her life!

I'm crossing my fingers that Evie truly becomes part of the Stonefire family.  Imagine the sparks that will fly when she tames their leader!  And wouldn't it be amazing if she and Melanie hit it off?  They could totally bond over the whole "mated to a dragon shifter" thing. Plus, let's not forget Serafina, our resident dragon-mated human. She was a rock for Melanie, and I have a feeling she'll play a big part in helping Evie find her place.

Of course, I'm dying to meet more dragons!  I'm hoping this book expands the Stonefire world and gives us some hints about who might be next in line for love.  Jesse Donovan is a master at dropping those little clues and sparking our curiosity.  Either way, I'm already hooked. Let's dive into Seducing the Dragon and see what adventures await!

Book Review

Jessie Donovan has done it again! Seducing the Dragon was another fantastic read in the Stonefire Dragons series.  The steam and romance were definitely top-notch, but what I really appreciate about Donovan's writing is her ability to craft such compelling characters.

Even though her world-building could use a little more detail (I'd love to get a richer sense of the environment!), her character development is spot on.  I absolutely adored Evie in this book.  She's such a strong, determined woman, and I was rooting for her from the very beginning.  Seeing her go after what she wanted, especially when it came to Bram, was so inspiring.

And speaking of Bram... wow!  The leader of the Stonefire dragons was completely captivated by Evie, and their first meeting was electric.  The tension between them practically sizzled throughout the entire book, making those already amazing sex scenes even more intense.  🔥  Let's just say I might be "borrowing" a few of those sensual moves for my own husband! 😉

But enough about the steamy stuff!  I'm eager to continue the series and see what Revealing the Dragon has in store.  On to the next book!

Book Spoilers

Disclaimer: This section might contain Spoilers about the book because, as we read the books we try to provide readers with information that might catch them off guard  and/or trigger them to in one way or another. This is the main reason for this blog was created.

I just finished Seducing the Dragon by Jessie Donovan, and while I definitely enjoyed the sizzling romance, I do want to mention a couple of things for those who might be considering this book. First, it's definitely intended for mature audiences. The language can be a bit strong, so it's not something I'd recommend for younger readers. Secondly, this book deals with child abduction, which could be a sensitive topic for some people. If that's something you might find upsetting, it might be best to skip this one.

Spoiler Alert:

Now, let's dive into my thoughts on the story! I was seriously impressed with Evie's ability to stay cool under pressure. Even when those creepy dragon hunters kidnapped her, she held her own and didn't let them break her spirit. That's my kind of heroine!

One of the things I loved most about this book was how Evie and Bram embraced parenthood by adopting little Murray. It was such a heartwarming part of the story, and it made me love them both even more. Of course, I was worried when Murray got kidnapped (those dragon hunters are the worst!), but thankfully, he was well cared for the whole time. And with a new baby on the way, thanks to some ancient dragon magic, Evie and Bram are going to have their hands full!

I'm so excited to continue the series with Revealing the Dragon. It sounds like things are about to get even more interesting with Melanie's book's release. I can't wait to see how the plot unfolds and what kind of mystery, suspense, and adventure awaits! Join me as I dive into the next book!
