Books have been my constant companions ever since I was a young child, transporting me to realms of endless imagination and intrigue. My passion for reading ignited in the third grade, thanks to a remarkable teacher who saw something special in me.
Mrs. Pelicane, my third-grade teacher, challenged me to find just one book that I liked, offering a $10 reward as an incentive. Little did she know that this simple act would spark a lifelong love affair with the written word. She took me to a bookstore, and there, amidst rows upon rows of books, I discovered the Goosebumps series. From that moment on, my world was forever changed.
You see, Mrs. Pelicane had recognized that I was dyslexic, which explained my struggles with reading and comprehension. But instead of letting me fall through the cracks, she found a way to make reading accessible and enjoyable for me. By having books read aloud while I followed along, I could finally immerse myself in the stories that had eluded me before.
From the spooky thrills of Goosebumps, my literary adventures expanded into realms of fantasy, murder mysteries, true crime, and so much more. I became insatiable, devouring tales of intrigue, suspense, and imagination with a fervor that knew no bounds. Books became my escape, my sanctuary, and my constant companions.
To this day, I owe my love for reading to the patience and guidance of Mrs. Peloquin. She saw beyond my struggles and unlocked a world of wonder that has enriched my life in countless ways. With every book I read, I am reminded of her kindness and the transformative power of storytelling.
So, whether I'm lost in a fantastical realm, unraveling a complex mystery, or delving into the darkest corners of true crime, I carry with me the gift that Mrs. Peloquin bestowed upon me – a love for books that knows no bounds.
I'm excited to embark on this thrilling journey with Lucian and Simone. The synopsis hints at a captivating transformation from feigned interest to genuine affection, and I can't wait to see how their story unfolds. With another powerful vampire vying for Simone's attention, Lucian may be forced to confront a formidable foe to protect the woman he loves.
I sincerely hope this installment minimizes the presence of Mare and Shadow. While they were prominent in the previous book, perhaps to the detriment of Angel and Reece's storyline, I trust Jaymin has learned from this and will keep Mare and Shadow's involvement within the vampire world to a necessary minimum this time.
I am incredibly excited to dive into the next installment in the Shadow Beast Shifters series. The earlier book ended with Melalekin being reborn after sacrificing herself to save Mare. I always suspected something was going on between Melalekin and Reece, and I’m eager to discover what happened in their story that caused them to hate each other so profoundly.
From what I can gather from the synopsis, Angel somehow wronged Reece, and he has held a grudge for millennia. Now, we are finally going to uncover the reasons behind it. I can't shake the feeling that the dynamic between Reece and Angel will lead to some intense emotional scenes.
For beings who have lived as long as they have, holding onto a grudge for that long suggests something significant occurred. I believe the only reason they even interact is because of Mare and her ability to bring happiness and joy to those around her. I wonder if we will witness a confrontation between Reece and Angel before things heat up or if we'll jump straight into their passionate yet tumultuous relationship, which I expect will be fantastic.
Either way, I can't wait to read this next book, and I look forward to seeing you in the comments!
Join me as I delve into Reborn, the next exhilarating chapter in Jaymin Eve’s Shadow Beast Shifters series. The last book, Reclaimed, ended with an intense twist: Mare was ripped from the shadow world and away from Shadow by Dani, the formidable mother of all shadow beasts. Now, as Reborn begins, Mare finds herself unceremoniously thrust back into the Torma pack, where she’s expected to resume life as the alpha mate to Torren. But from what I can gather, things are far from smooth for Mare. With missing weeks and months haunting her return, there’s an itch she’s determined to scratch, and I can’t wait to see where this search for truth leads her.
I’m especially eager to witness how Mare handles being back in Torma, surrounded by old expectations and dynamics she’s outgrown. Personally, I hope she gives Torren exactly what he deserves—a swift kick in the ego (or lower) and a reminder that she is no longer the submissive outcast he once knew. To me, Torren has always embodied a chauvinistic pig, and I’m rooting for Mare to knock him down several notches and reclaim her power and voice.
So, let’s dive into this latest adventure in Reborn, where betrayal, resilience, and strength are sure to intertwine. Will Mare unravel the mysteries that Dani’s intervention left behind? Will she reclaim her independence and forge her path away from those who took her for granted? I’m ready to find out, and I invite you to join me as this wild, emotional ride continues.
Join me as we dive into Reclaimed by Jaymin Eve, the next installment in this thrilling series that promises to unravel further the epic world she’s created. After the captivating events of Rejected, I’m beyond eager to see where Jaymin Eve takes us next, especially with the potential for Shadow and Mare’s relationship to evolve even further. That intense, spell-induced scene in the Fae realm from the previous book left us with a tantalizing glimpse into their chemistry, sparking my hope for deeper, more genuine connections between them in this story. I’m ready to read more about how their bond develops and, hopefully, get confirmation that my hunch is right—that Mare might actually be Shadow’s true mate.
If you paid attention to Shadow’s behavior in Rejected, it was hard to miss his possessive streak—his growls and glowers whenever anyone got too close to Mare spoke volumes. It makes me wonder if their bond is more significant than either of them realizes, possibly twisted by whatever magic tied Shadow’s fate when he was banished. Could that banishment have somehow affected his mate bond, leaving room for the captivating and complex dynamic he shares with Mare? I’m ready to explore how their relationship will navigate these murky waters.
Beyond Shadow and Mare’s story, I’m equally curious about Mare’s growing bond with Angel. This friendship has all the makings of an unbreakable ride-or-die connection, and I can’t wait to see how Angel’s support plays into the unfolding drama and Mare’s quest for strength and belonging. The last book’s cliffhanger with Dani’s death and the reappearance of the shadow beast sets the perfect stage for what promises to be an electrifying continuation. Let’s jump into Reclaimed and discover how this epic journey unfolds.
I am beyond excited to dive into Rejected by Jaymin Eve, the first book in The Shadow Beast Shifters series. The synopsis already hints at a journey filled with raw, emotional depth, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in the story of a protagonist whose life takes a dramatic turn after being rejected by her true mate. The idea of facing rejection from someone meant to be an integral part of her soul strikes a powerful chord, and I’m hoping to see how she navigates this heart-wrenching reality.
What I’m most eager to read is how the protagonist, once branded as an outcast and a traitor by her pack, finds the inner strength to rise above her painful past. The return to her wolf-shifter society after being linked to the alpha's son promises a thrilling combination of personal redemption and shifting loyalties. I hope this transformation is as riveting and empowering as I imagine it could be, showcasing her resilience and newfound purpose.
Adding to the intrigue is the shadow beast, their shifter God. Could this mysterious figure play a crucial role in her path forward? I’m excited to see if this rejection will open the door to an unexpected love interest or reveal hidden truths that will reshape her world. Uncovering whether this tale is a hidden gem that blends intense emotions, new bonds, and uncharted adventures is going to be a journey worth taking. Let’s discover the magic and trials together in this first step into a promising new series.
As I dive into Etched in Bone, the final book in The Others series, I can’t help but feel a bit of sadness knowing this will be the last time I journey through this world with Meg, Simon, and the Lakeside community. Like all good stories, it’s hard to say goodbye, but there’s something satisfying in knowing we’ll get closure. And, of course, finishing this book lets me explore the next series—but The Others will always hold a special place for me.
From the synopsis, it seems like Meg is in for a wild ride with Lieutenant Montgomery’s brother coming onto the scene. The mystery surrounding the grave she encounters adds an extra layer of suspense—is it connected to Montgomery’s brother, or does it ominously hint at something more personal for Meg? With the chaos in Fayetteville still fresh from the Elders’ purge of humanity, it’s clear that there are new challenges and dangers awaiting everyone in Lakeside.
I’m eager to see how Bishop wraps up this story, especially with the Lakeside community’s resilience being put to the ultimate test. Let’s see what this final book has in store for us as we uncover the last secrets in Etched in Bone.
I’m so excited to jump into Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop, the next chapter in The Others series. From what I can gather from the synopsis, this one promises to be an intense, high-stakes adventure. We find Meg and Simon standing on the brink of a massive conflict, with everything teetering between the potential destruction of humanity and a slim hope of salvation for the few who’ve shown loyalty to The Others. It’s a delicate balance, and I’m eager to see how these loyalties will hold up under pressure—and if they’ll be enough to make a difference.
The series has already introduced us to such complex relationships and fierce alliances, and now it looks like those bonds are going to be put to the ultimate test. It’s one thing to say you’ll support The Others, but when the stakes are this high, will those loyal few stand strong or fall apart? I’m ready to follow Meg and Simon through this journey to see how they navigate the blurred lines between ally and enemy in a world on the edge of war.
If you’re up for a story filled with suspense, action, and powerful relationships, join me as I dive into Marked in Flesh. This installment promises to take us even deeper into Bishop’s beautifully crafted world, and I can’t wait to discover how this next chapter unfolds.
As I pick up Vision in Silver again, I’m trying to approach it with fresh eyes, as if it’s the first time I’m reading this story. From what I can gather from the synopsis, things are about to get intense. Now that all of the Cassandra Sangue are free from the institutions, they’re beginning to break down, and Meg and Simon are going to have their hands full trying to save them. I’m really curious to see how they’ll tackle this mission without Meg having to rely on cutting herself for answers. Every time she uses the razor, it puts her life in more danger, and I’m hoping they find a better way to navigate her prophecies before it’s too late.
As I dive into this next chapter, I’m eager to see what new obstacles and paths Anne Bishop will throw in Meg’s way. Her journey has been anything but easy so far, and with the fragile state of the “Cassandra Sangue,” the stakes are higher than ever. I’m looking forward to seeing how Meg and Simon grow together as they face these new challenges.
I hope you’ll join me as we jump into Vision in Silver, the next installment in The Others series. Let’s see where this adventure takes us!
I’m thrilled to dive into Murder of Crows, the second book in The Others series by Anne Bishop! After finishing Written in Red, I can’t wait to see what mysteries and action await us as we continue Meg Corbyn’s journey in the world of Lakeside. According to the synopsis, Meg’s visions are coming fast and intense, and I can only guess that these glimpses mean something dark is lurking on the horizon. With the city of Lakeside as the backdrop, I’m eager to see how Meg handles the challenges ahead.
One of the things I love about this series is the vivid world Bishop has crafted, with its complex characters and the unique dynamics between humans and the Others. Meg’s role as a Blood Prophet is fascinating, and the stakes seem to be getting higher with every vision she endures. There’s a sense of impending danger and urgency, and I can’t wait to see how she navigates the obstacles, particularly with allies like Simon Wolfgard by her side.
So, let’s jump right in and explore the mystery, action, and fantasy that Murder of Crows promises. If you’re a fan of stories with immersive world-building and rich character development, I invite you to join me on this journey.
I’m beyond excited to dive into Lilah and the Cursed Caverns, the next thrilling installment in The Adventures of Lilah series by Aggie Fox! After falling in love with Lilah’s first adventure, I can’t wait to see where this new journey takes her. This time, our courageous young heroine is facing an even greater challenge—she’s venturing into the depths of a cursed cave! With her trusty amulet and the support of her friends, Lilah is once again called upon to defend her world, and this time it’s her own city, Seattle, that’s in need of saving.
The idea of a cursed cave immediately sparked my curiosity. What kinds of mysteries and dangers could lie within? I’m eager to see how Lilah’s bravery will be tested in this ominous new setting and to discover what unique powers her amulet might reveal. The power of friendship is bound to play a huge role, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Lilah and her friends will support each other in their quest. There’s something so charming and timeless about a story that reminds us of the strength we can find in each other, even in the face of daunting obstacles.
So, let’s jump in and explore these cursed caverns alongside Lilah! I’m ready for the magic, mystery, and adventure that’s sure to await. This series has such a way of blending lightheartedness with thrilling moments, and I’m thrilled to continue following Lilah on her journey.
I can hardly contain my excitement to reread Written in Red by Anne Bishop. According to the synopsis, Meg’s journey promises to be as thrilling and engaging as I remember, with her arrival in the Lakeside Courtyard setting off a ripple effect among its residents. Escaping the clutches of her controlling past, she finds herself in the Courtyard, a haven of sorts filled with shapeshifters who aren’t exactly known for their warmth toward outsiders. Among them is Simon Wolfgard, a character I’m especially eager to see more of, as his and Meg’s interactions are bound to be filled with tension, curiosity, and maybe a hint of something deeper.
Bishop’s world-building is one of the things that drew me in during my first read, and I’m looking forward to diving back into it. The Lakeside Courtyard is such a unique setting with its layers of supernatural and human dynamics, and it will be fascinating to revisit the rules and power structures of this world through Meg’s fresh perspective. I’m also eager to see how Bishop builds up her characters; there’s a certain rawness to each one, and I’m hoping that same complexity and depth come through even more on a second read.
It’s going to be quite a journey to watch how Meg’s presence shakes things up in Lakeside and see how her relationship with Simon develops amid all the tension and danger. I can’t wait to step back into this world, and I hope you’ll join me in revisiting the Lakeside Courtyard
The Crown of Crystal Flame brings this hidden gem of a series, the Tairen Soul saga, to an epic conclusion! With Ellysetta now bearing four mage marks, her soul is only two steps away from the darkness, and the stakes have never been higher. The burning question remains: can Rain and Ellysetta complete their bond before she succumbs to any more marks? Their love and courage have carried them through unimaginable trials, but now they face their greatest challenge yet.
This final installment promises to pull readers into a whirlwind of suspense, emotion, and high-stakes magic as the Fey and their allies fight to keep Ellysetta from losing her soul. Rain’s devotion to her, combined with Ellysetta’s growing strength, is powerful to witness. Together, they must confront their deepest fears and stand against the ultimate evil.
Let’s dive into this last adventure and see if they can overcome the darkness that threatens them. With The Crown of Crystal Flame, C.L. Wilson closes out the Tairen Soul series with the intensity and beauty that have made these books such a treasure. Join me as we find out how it all ends!
I’m thrilled to dive into Queen of Song and Souls, the next adventure in the Tairen Soul Series by C.L. Wilson! This story is set to be even more intense, with Ellysetta and Rain banished from the Fading Lands and the Massons taking control of the Fae’s leadership. It’s hard not to question whether the Mages, especially the Fire and Earth leaders, have thought about the consequences of their actions. Their blatant distrust and disrespect for Ellysetta because of the mage marks—something completely out of her control—might be the very reason their future looks so grim. Their fears might be the thing that leads her to darkness if they’re not careful.
I’m really hoping the Fire and Earth leaders, who had a hand in Ellysetta’s banishment, get their comeuppance. On the other hand, I love how the Tairen refuses to acknowledge the Masson’s decree and continues to stand by Rain as the true ruler of the Fading Lands. Their loyalty and devotion add such a powerful layer to Rain’s character and the story overall.
But now that Ellysetta is out from the protective veil of the Fading Lands, the stakes are higher than ever. Will she fall into darkness, as the Masson fears, or will she and Rain finally complete their bond and save her soul? There’s so much uncertainty, but I’m excited to see how this plays out. Join me on this adventure as we uncover what fate has in store for Rain and Ellysetta in Queen of Song and Souls!
I’m absolutely eager to dive into King of Sword and Sky by C.L. Wilson, and I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes us. First off, Ellysetta has truly grown on me. By the end of Lady of Light and Shadows, I wasn’t irked by her anymore. It’s like she flipped a coin and fully embraced her role, stepping into her power as a fierce protector of the ones she loves. That shift in maturity makes me excited to see how her journey continues. She’s become this powerhouse, and I’m really hoping to see more of that strength come through in this next book.
I’m also really looking forward to seeing more of Ellysetta’s family, especially her younger sisters. They are absolutely adorable, and their innocence, joy, and mischievous nature just light up the story. Honestly, they’ve become two of my favorite characters, right up there with Bel, who always brings humor and depth. I think many readers will fall in love with them because they bring so much heart to the story, and I’m eager to see how they’re woven into the plot this time around.
One thing I’m really hoping for is that Ellysetta finally stops running from herself. She’s not going to complete her bond with Rain if she keeps doubting who she is and what she’s capable of. Her attitude about her magic can be frustrating, but I also get it—she’s innocent, still stumbling through this new world and power she doesn’t fully understand. That said, I’m actually starting to like her relationship with Rain more, and I’m eager to see where it goes from here.
And let’s not forget Den Bronson! I’m delighted that it looks like he’s finally getting what’s coming to him. I doubt the High Mage is going to take losing Ellysetta lightly, so I’m bracing myself for whatever conflict might be coming. Let’s jump into King of Sword and Sky and see what’s in store for us in this next installment of the Tairen Soul series!
As I dive into Lady of Light and Shadow by C.L. Wilson, I’m excited to see where this epic fantasy of magic, adventure, and suspense takes us next. From what I’ve gathered, Ellysetta and Rain face deep struggles in accepting certain parts of each other, making their bond feel incomplete. Ellysetta’s lingering fear of Rain’s power, combined with the looming battle, suggests that their journey won’t be an easy one. With darkness on the horizon, I can’t help but wonder if they’ll be able to fight back the forces threatening their world. Let’s find out in this next installment of the Tairen Soul series!
I'm about to embark on a thrilling journey with Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson, and I couldn't be more excited! From what I've gathered from the synopsis, we're about to dive into a magical world where Rain, the Tairen Soul and protector of the Fey, a handsome Fey, is drawn back into the heart of love and conflict. His soul is inexplicably bound to a woman whose essence calls out to him, and from the sound of it, there's danger lurking at every turn. I can't wait to see how this romance blossoms amidst the growing threat of darkness.
It’s a story that promises a compelling blend of magic, mystery, and romance—all elements that make for an unforgettable reading experience. I’m eager to see how Rain, a mighty warrior, grapples with his fierce duty to protect his people and the intense, newfound connection he has with this woman. The synopsis leaves us with just enough intrigue to spark curiosity, and I can’t wait to explore what lies ahead.
If you’re as eager as I am to unravel the mysteries of this new world and see Rain face the rising tide of evil, then join me in diving into this series! The stakes are high, the romance promises to be intense, and we know that only Rain stands between true evil and the world he’s sworn to defend. Let’s see where this adventure takes us!
I’m especially excited to dive into Relationships: Talk It Out: A Millennial's Guide to Effective Relationship Communication by Amanda Morreale, and not just because my incredibly talented friend writes it. This book, despite its long title, is a short yet impactful read at just 42 pages. And let me tell you, the length does not define the substance—Amanda has packed so much insight, humor, and practical advice into this compact guide. It’s exactly what you’d expect from someone who blends her sense of humor with genuine life lessons, just like she does on her blog, The Chuckle Channel (check it out at chucklechannel.com if you haven’t already).
From the synopsis, it seems like this book is going to be an enjoyable ride through the complexities of relationships, but with a lighthearted twist. Amanda’s writing is filled with humor, which makes tough topics like communication feel accessible and fun. What I love most is how she brings a blend of warmth and practicality to something as challenging as improving our relationships. And really, who doesn’t need a little humor and a lot of honesty when it comes to navigating communication with others?
Plus, this isn’t just any book—it’s my friend’s book. Amanda has such a great perspective, and knowing her, this guide is going to be not only informative but also a blast to read. If you’re looking for something insightful, humorous, and genuinely helpful, then this is definitely the book for you. So, let’s dive into this together—whether it’s relationships, communication, or a good laugh, Amanda’s got us covered. Trust me, you’re going to love this one!
As I get ready to dive into War Storm by Victoria Aveyard, I can’t help but feel like this is going to be an epic conclusion to the Red Queen series. From the synopsis, it looks like Maven is still obsessed with getting Mare back, and with his dangerous fixation on her, I can only imagine the lengths he’ll go to. I’m also wondering who will make it out alive. Someone Mare loves might die, and it could be Maven, or it could be one of her friends or family. The stakes are high, and I can already feel the tension building.
Maven’s obsession has been one of the more twisted aspects of this series, and I’m curious to see how it all plays out. There’s that saying that “love conquers all,” and while I’m not sure if Maven’s obsession can truly be called love, in his mind, it might be. He’s proven time and again that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to possess Mare, and in his sick, distorted world, maybe that obsession is his version of love. I’m holding out hope that this book will explore that dynamic more deeply.
I wasn’t entirely satisfied with how the last book felt a bit scattered, but I’m really hoping War Storm pulls everything together for a powerful finish. This is the final book in the series, and I’m ready for a thrilling ride with battles, betrayals, and, hopefully, some redemption. Let’s see how it all ends—join me on this exciting adventure as we find out if love or obsession truly conquers all.
As I dive into King's Cage by Victoria Aveyard, I can’t help but feel both excitement and anticipation for what’s to come in this next installment of the Red Queen series. Based on the synopsis, it’s clear that Mare Barrow is in for a brutal time as Maven’s prisoner. Stripped of her lightning power and locked away in his palace, it seems like torment and torture will be her new reality. But part of me hopes that Maven, in his twisted obsession, will realize that no matter how much he tries, Mare won’t break. And that realization might make him fall even more in love with her. If she can play to his emotions, perhaps she can find a way to use his feelings to her advantage and escape his grasp. At least, that’s what I’m rooting for, though with Victoria Aveyard’s signature plot twists, anything could happen!
What I’m really looking forward to is seeing more of the dynamic between Mare and Maven. Their complicated relationship is one of the most fascinating parts of the series, and I’d love to see how Maven reacts when he realizes just how strong Mare truly is. Will his obsession grow to the point of no return, just in time for Cal and Mare’s friends to stage her rescue? And when that happens, how desperate will Maven become to get her back? There’s so much potential for psychological tension in this book, and I’m eager to see how it all plays out.
But with a looming civil war on top of the ongoing conflict with the Lakelanders, Maven might have bitten off more than he can chew. Juggling two wars while trying to maintain control of Mare seems like a recipe for disaster, and I wonder if this will be his undoing. Will he be forced to let Mare go, or will his obsession drive him to ruin? I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds in King’s Cage. Join me on this wild ride as we explore what happens next in the world of Red Queen.
As I look ahead to Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard, I can already tell it’s going to be an exciting continuation of Mare’s journey. Based on the synopsis, it seems like Mare is about to gain more fame than she ever wanted or imagined. With Maven, the prince who betrayed her, now hunting her down, there’s a sense of impending danger that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Mare is also taking the chance to seek out others like herself—those referred to as the newbloods. I’m really curious to see just how many of them are out there and what kind of power they hold. These newbloods sound like they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with, and I can’t wait to see how that unfolds.
One thing that has me concerned, though, is Maven. I worry that, despite his betrayal, he might actually believe he loves Mare in his own sick and twisted way. It seems like he could become obsessed with her, especially since she once told him that she loved him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Maven spends the next book—or even the entire series—chasing after Mare, driven by his fixation on her. That’s definitely going to add a layer of tension and unpredictability to the story.
I’m also intrigued to see how things will develop between Mare and Cal, now that Cal is no longer the prince and has lost the responsibilities that came with his title. Will their connection grow deeper, or will the chaos of their world drive them apart? With so many new elements at play—the newbloods, Maven’s obsession, and Mare’s evolving powers—Glass Sword promises to be a thrilling adventure. I’m eager to dive in and see where this next chapter takes us in the Red Queen series.
Join me on an exciting new adventure with Lilah and the Enchanted Amulet by Aggie Fox! The beauty of Lilah and the Enchanted Amulet lies not only in its magical plot but also in its easy-to-read style, making it a wonderful pick for young readers. Adventure and cuteness sprinkled throughout will capture kids’ imaginations from start to finish, transporting them into a world where magic is real, and bravery knows no bounds.

From the moment I cracked open Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, I knew I was in for a ride. The synopsis alone hinted at a world where the lines between power and survival are razor-thin, a place where the elite rule with iron fists while the oppressed live underfoot. We are thrust into the life of Mare Barrow, a girl who’s about to see her world turn upside down. She’s not just a lowly Red anymore—suddenly, she’s thrust into the intricate, dangerous dance of the nobility. The court is a nest of snakes, full of hidden agendas, double-crosses, and the ever-watchful eyes of those who would see her fail.
As we embark on this journey together, my hopes for Mare are high. She’s about to become part of a court full of secrets and lies, where every glance could hold a hidden message, and every smile could be a mask for betrayal. I’m particularly intrigued by the cover-up hinted at in the synopsis—something about Mare’s new life doesn’t add up, and I can’t help but think that this secret won’t stay buried for long. After all, it’s been said that a secret between two people is no longer a secret. Will Mare uncover the truth, or will the lies woven around her continue to smother the kingdom? Only time will tell as we dive into the pages of Red Queen.
I can’t wait to see how the rebellion brewing in the shadows might unravel the delicate balance of power in the kingdom. Will Mare, with her new status and the growing unrest beneath the surface, be able to navigate the treacherous waters of royalty, or will the wolves in sheep’s clothing circle too close? Let’s find out what fate has in store for Mare and the kingdom in Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
As I dive into Balanced Luck, the last installment of the Twisted Luck series by Mel Todd, I can’t help but feel a bit sad that the series is coming to an end. It’s been a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs, twists and turns, all within this amazing world of magic and danger. Mel Todd has done such a fantastic job with character development and world-building, making it hard to let go. From what I gather from the synopsis, things are about to get even more intense, with the rips worsening and Cori once again having to bear the weight of fixing everything.
Cori’s research on Atlantis has me curious to see how she’s going to tackle these new challenges. I’m really hoping that either the Council leader or Esmear steps up to help her out because those two seem like they could provide the most assistance in dealing with the rips. And since this is the final book, I’m hoping Mel Todd pulls out all the stops. I’d especially love to see Joe front and center in this book. She’s been my favorite character throughout the series, and I relate to her the most, so I’m really crossing my fingers that she plays a major role in Cori’s final adventure.
I also can’t help but wonder what kind of favors Cori will have to call in as the Herald of Magic to close these rips for good. Will the cost be too high this time? Could it cost her life? I guess we’ll find out soon enough in the next exciting story of the Twisted Luck series, Balanced Luck. Let’s see how it all wraps up!
I'm super excited to dive into Unbalance Luck, the next book in Mel Todd’s Twisted Luck series! Cori gets to meet the full Council of the realms and, in true Cori fashion, somehow ends up being forced into becoming one of its lords. How does she always find herself in these situations? From what I can gather from the synopsis, this book is going to be interesting because, while Cori is done with her draft service, she's getting pulled right back into the magical world. I can already tell her hands are going to be full with the rips opening up across the earth—trouble seems to follow her no matter what.
One thing I’m really hoping for in this book is that Cori manages to climb her way to the top and maybe even take charge of the entire Council. Knowing her, she’ll probably rub someone the wrong way with her carefree attitude, but that’s exactly why I love her character! And holy cow, it looks like they’ve fast-forwarded to where the twins are about five years old now. I’m pretty sure Cori negotiated a five-year draft service in the previous books, so this jump in time totally makes sense.
I'm also hoping the twins turn out to be just as awesome as some of the other characters that Mel Todd has created. With Cori as their mother, they’re bound to have some incredible adventures of their own. Either way, I can’t wait to jump into this next book and see where the story takes Cori and her family next. Let’s get started—this is going to be a fun ride!
From the synopsis of Faded Luck by Mel Todd, it looks like Cori gets pregnant—holy cow! This is a huge development, and I can’t wait to see how it unfolds. She's getting a celebration ceremony as a reward for saving the world again, which is well-deserved, but I’m really curious about how this pregnancy will change things for her. Cori has been through so much, and it would be amazing if this new chapter in her life brings her someone she can truly love—her own special person, just like Joe has Sable.
Carelin and Joe still remain my absolute favorite characters in the story. Their bond and the way they support each other and Cori is truly heartwarming. I hope that with Cori’s pregnancy, she will find the kind of love and companionship that Joe has with Sable. It would be wonderful to see her find that special connection and have someone who is there for her unconditionally.
Overall, I'm really excited to dive into this next installment of Mel Todd's Twisted Luck series, Faded Luck. There's so much potential for character growth and new dynamics, and I can’t wait to see where Cori’s journey takes her next. So, let’s jump right in and finish reading the rest of the story!
If you're ready for another thrilling adventure with Cori, Jo, Sable, Carelian, and all of our favorite characters from the Twisted Luck series, then you won't want to miss Drafted Luck by Mel Todd. From what I can gather from the synopsis, it looks like Cori is about to dive headfirst into even more trouble. Not only did her government try to kill her during her orientation, but now they've partnered her with the Department of State to work with Japan—a country that also seems to want her dead. I'm going out on a limb here and saying that this book is going to be another wild ride where everyone's out to get Cori yet again.
And what’s the deal with this new group of misfits they've paired her with? Cori is supposed to be incredibly strong, acting as the ambassador between the human world and the world of familiars. It makes you wonder if the government is deliberately trying to sabotage relations with the familiars who give mages their extra power. These familiars are like demigods, and it seems like the government is biting off more than it can chew. Plus, with Cori's house being a sentient being, I can’t help but wonder how it will react to her being away. If Cori ends up working in Japan, she’ll probably have to be there for a while due to her government obligations. Let's just hope her house doesn't go on a killing spree against anyone who tries to tend to the grounds while she's gone!
And what about her mentorship with Endear and Alixius? How is Cori supposed to continue her mentorship with them if she’s stuck in Japan? Especially now that she might not be able to teleport freely due to her government contract. If she teleports out of her obligations, the government could kill her. It sounds like Cori has a lot on her plate in this book, and I’m really hoping her luck holds out. Let’s see if she manages to survive her tenure as a magister for the government without losing her life or her sanity. Buckle up, everyone—this is going to be one intense journey!
From the title Inherited Luck, I can infer that this book is about Cori's inheritance, which she received in Educated Luck, the previous installment. The synopsis hints that Cori is about to get caught up in another murder investigation, once again partnered with Agent Steven Alixant. It feels like she just can't escape these murder cases! I’m starting to wonder if this constant involvement in crime is setting the stage for her career over the next decade. Will she find herself repeatedly thrust into situations where she has no choice but to step in and solve crimes?
My hope for this book is that Cori starts to ease up on her attitude towards Agent Alixant. He’s genuinely trying to help her, not hold her back, but she’s always so difficult when it comes to him. I get that she’s been through a lot, but a little cooperation could go a long way. And then there's Enderia—her attitude has been driving me up the wall too! But with the new challenge of catching a serial killer, I'm curious about how much more damage Cori might end up causing. She’s a total badass, no doubt, but she also has a limited number of offerings she can make without putting herself in serious danger.
I’m eager to see how Cori will handle the challenges ahead. Will she learn to work better with Agent Alixant and maybe even trust him a bit more? And can she manage her offerings carefully while still kicking butt and solving crimes? Let's dive in and see where Inherited Luck takes us next!
I'm excited to dive into the next installment of the Twisted Luck series with Educated Luck by Mel Todd. From what I gather, we're jumping ahead a few months from where we left off in the previous book. Cori is now in school with Joe, and I can't wait to see how their dynamic evolves in this new setting. There’s so much to unravel with Cori’s latest situation—especially this mysterious inheritance that seems to have come her way. I’m really curious about what strings might be attached to it. With an inheritance often comes unexpected complications, and I can’t help but wonder if Cori’s newfound fame will draw her estranged parents back into her life. Will they try to worm their way in now that she seems to have a windfall on the horizon?
Mel Todd has crafted such a fun and twisted world, and I'm eager to see how Cori navigates her newfound popularity. Will her fame make her the talk of the school, or will it be more of a burden than a blessing? And knowing Cori, I wouldn’t be surprised if another mystery drags her away from her studies and into the thick of some new adventure. Each book in the Twisted Luck series has been full of surprises, and I expect Educated Luck will be no different.
I’m on the edge of my seat, ready to see how Cori’s story unfolds next. Will she finally get a chance to focus on her education, or will she be pulled into yet another whirlwind of chaos? The only way to find out is to dive into Educated Luck. Join me in exploring what’s next for Cori in this exciting new chapter!
I’m so excited to dive into Hired Luck by Mel Todd! One of the things I love most about her writing is how she seamlessly blends real-life locations and historical facts with a magical twist, making the world feel incredibly immersive and almost like it could be part of our reality. It’s such a neat touch when she includes actual places, like how Joe and Cori are renting an apartment in Atlanta, Georgia. It makes me wish magic was real and that I could be living in that world right alongside them.
From what I gather from the synopsis and the details we got in My Luck, it looks like we're picking up about three to four months after the last book, with Joe and Cori now settled into their new place in Atlanta. I’m really eager to learn more about Cori’s brother, Stephen. I have this feeling that his story is far from over and that there’s a lot more to uncover about what happened to him. It’s one of those mysteries that I’m hoping will get some attention in this book because I think it could add a whole new layer to Cori’s journey.
And, of course, I can't wait to see more of my favorite character, Joe! I’m thrilled that she’s living with Cori now, which means we’ll get to see more of their dynamic. Joe’s energy and humor always bring a lightness to the story, and I’m so curious about what kind of school and training she’ll be going through now that she’s been rated as an archmage after her emergence. It’s going to be so interesting to see how their friendship evolves and the adventures they get into together. I have a feeling this book is going to be full of surprises and magical fun. Let’s dive in and see where this next chapter takes us!
From what I can infer from the synopsis of My Luck by Mel Todd, this chick has some serious issues. It sounds like everything is going wrong for her, and nothing seems to be going right. It’s like she’s caught in this endless loop of bad luck, where every step forward comes with two steps back. I can’t help but feel a bit sorry for her—she’s dealing with a lot, especially if she thinks she might lose her best friend through some magic. It’s clear that magic is going to play a significant role in this story, and I’m curious to see how that unfolds.
I really hope, for the sake of the book, that all these unfortunate events have a purpose. Maybe there’s a bigger reason behind all the chaos she’s facing, and I’m holding out hope that things will turn around for her eventually. I’m a sucker for books with magic and mystery, and the fact that there’s a dead body involved makes it even more intriguing. It looks like this story is shaping up to be a fantastic murder mystery with plenty of twists and turns to keep us guessing.
So, let’s dive in and see what happens in My Luck by Mel Todd. I’m ready to uncover the secrets, figure out how magic is tied into all this, and find out whether this poor girl’s luck is about to change. Here’s hoping for some answers, a bit of redemption, and maybe even a surprise or two along the way.
As I prepare to delve deep into the synopsis of Born of Blood and Ash, the gravity of Sera and Ash’s journey becomes even more apparent. The challenges they face aren't just physical battles against enemies or struggles for political power—they're battling the very essence of darkness that Kolis embodies. Securing the approval of the other courts feels like a near-impossible task, with so many variables that could tip the scales against them. Every decision they make could either fortify their position or unravel everything they've worked for. And with Kolis returning, it's as though the shadows of the past are closing in on them, threatening to suffocate any hope they have of a future.
But it’s Sera’s inner turmoil that truly grips me. Her dreams, born from the horrors she faced in Kolis’s court, aren’t just haunting her sleep—they’re a lingering madness, a constant reminder of her trauma. I can’t help but wonder if she’ll be able to hold on to her sanity while facing these new threats. The fear that the madness could consume her is ever-present, casting a dark cloud over what should be a fight for freedom and peace.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, I can’t help but hope that Sera and Ash find a way through this darkness together. I want to see them find ways to soothe Sera’s troubled mind, not just through battle or strategy, but in moments of intimacy that allow them to connect truly. I’m hoping for more than just fleeting comfort—I want to see their relationship deepen in ways that bring healing to Sera’s soul. If they can find that intimacy, that deeper connection, it might be the key to overcoming not just Kolis but the madness that threatens to tear them apart. The potential for their bond to grow stronger and more profound is what I’m most eager to see unfold in this story.
I can't contain my excitement for the next installment in the Crescent City series, House of Flame and Shadow. The last book left me breathless, with Bryce, Hunt, and Rune all captured by The Asteri. The tension was palpable as Rune and Hunt pulled off a daring rescue, getting Bryce out just in time through one of her portals. Now, Hunt is back under The Asteri's cruel control, while Bryce is stranded in a strange new kingdom, unable to speak the language or navigate the unfamiliar terrain. The cliffhanger was incredible, leaving me desperate to know what would happen next.
I eagerly anticipate the dark twists and intense suspense that House of Flame and Shadow promises to deliver. This house is one of the more sinister in Crescent City, and I have a hunch that Jessibba Roga will play a much larger role this time around, given that this is her territory. I'm also curious about Bryce's new surroundings. While it seems like she could be in hell, I suspect she might have landed somewhere entirely different—where she might find new allies and armies to help her in the battle ahead.
Either way, the anticipation is killing me, and I can't wait to dive into this next chapter of Bryce's journey. The stakes are higher than ever, and I’m ready to see how it all unfolds. Let's dive right in!
I can't contain my excitement for Sarah J. Maas's "House of Sky and Breath," especially after the explosive events of the last book. Bryce and Hunt's journey has been nothing short of thrilling, and their epic takedown of two corrupt governors left me on the edge of my seat. One governor, driven by a desire to destroy Bryce and summon a demon army, and the other, willing to obliterate an entire city without a care for the innocent lives within, both fell to our dynamic duo. Their victory was a hard-fought one, filled with danger and unexpected alliances, and now with Hunt finally free from the shackles of slavery, I can't wait to see how his newfound freedom shapes his relationship with Bryce.
The introduction of a rebel group trying to recruit Bryce and Hunt adds an intriguing twist to the story. This development promises to bring even more complexity and excitement to the plot, as they navigate this new landscape of rebellion and loyalty. The stakes are higher than ever, and I am eager to see how Bryce and Hunt will balance their personal desires with the broader fight against tyranny. The synopsis teases a sexy, action-packed sequel, and I am particularly looking forward to more steamy moments between Bryce and Hunt. Their chemistry has been electric from the start, and with Hunt no longer a slave, the potential for deeper, more passionate interactions is tantalizing.
Overall, "House of Sky and Breath" promises to be an exhilarating continuation of Bryce and Hunt's story. The mix of high-stakes action, political intrigue, and intense romance is exactly what I crave in a fantasy series. I am counting down the days until I can dive back into their world and experience the next chapter of their journey. Sarah J. Maas has a knack for creating compelling characters and intricate plots, and I am confident this sequel will not disappoint.
From what I can infer from the synopsis of "House of Earth and Blood" by Sarah J. Maas, it seems clear that Bryce and Hunt are destined to be together. It looks like a classic "love each other but hate each other at the same time" scenario, where both are fighting their feelings for each other. The murder of Bryce's closest friend seems to serve as a crucial catalyst for their connection, pushing them together as they collaborate to solve the crime. The tension between them, combined with the high-stakes investigation, promises a compelling read.
My hope for this book is that it doesn't fall into the trap of becoming a typical "sex all around, friend-next-door" type of story where the characters are oblivious to their feelings until they suddenly realize they're meant for each other. I'm particularly intrigued by the investigation aspect of this book. A good murder investigation always ranks high on my list, and I'm eager to see how Bryce and Hunt navigate their complex relationship while unraveling the mystery. I hope their journey is filled with suspense, intrigue, and well-developed character dynamics that keep me hooked from start to finish.
Ultimately, while the romance between Bryce and Hunt is likely to be a central element, I'm looking forward to seeing how Maas balances this with the murder investigation plotline. The promise of a thrilling investigation, combined with the evolving relationship between Bryce and Hunt, makes this book a must-read for me. If done well, "House of Earth and Blood" could offer a perfect blend of romance, mystery, and adventure.
Thank you, Liz Crowe, for bringing Cul-De-Sac to my attention. As I read the synopsis, I feel a thrilling anticipation. The story promises a steamy blend of mystery and desire, hinting at an intricate web of relationships and secrets within a seemingly perfect neighborhood. The idea of delving into the hidden lives of residents in a cookie-cutter cul-de-sac excites me, especially as the synopsis suggests there might be a swingers-type situation unfolding behind closed doors.
The allure of exploring the contrast between suburban life's polished exterior and the passionate, clandestine affairs hidden beneath is irresistible. Liz Crowe has set the stage for an intense and provocative narrative, and I can’t wait to see how she captures the essence of this familiar yet enigmatic setting. I imagine a world where perfectly manicured lawns and smiling faces hide desires and secrets that, once uncovered, will turn the neighborhood's tranquility upside down.
My hope for this book is that Liz adds the same level of spice and steam that made 50 Shades of Grey so captivating. From the synopsis, I can infer there are betrayals, marriage issues, and possibly even affairs. The story promises to be a thrilling exploration of the hidden lives within a seemingly perfect neighborhood, much like the drama and intrigue in housewife reality shows.
I am eager to uncover the mysteries and dynamics between neighbors. I’m excited to dive into Cul-De-Sac and meet the characters, hoping for a tale that blends passion, drama, and intrigue. Whether through steamy encounters or shocking revelations, I’m ready to be captivated by Liz Crowe’s storytelling prowess and the hidden world she unveils in this suburban landscape.
As I picked up Eidolon by Grace Draven, I couldn't help but feel a bit let down by the sparse synopsis. It didn't provide any details about the story or what I could expect from this next installment of the Wraith Kings series. A good synopsis should give readers a taste of the plot and characters, setting the stage for the adventure. However, it seems Grace Draven prefers to keep things mysterious, offering little in her book descriptions. Despite this lack of information, I am genuinely excited to dive into Eidolon, especially after the thrilling conclusion of *Radiance*.
Radiance left us on a tantalizing note, with Secmiss summoning what seemed to be an army of the undead while Ildiko and Brishen were finally finding some happiness together. Ildiko and Brishen's roles will become significantly more important to the kingdom in this new book. The brief hints in the synopsis suggest that Brishen is poised to take on the kingdom's leadership, which implies that his entire family might have perished in the attack that ultimately took down Secmiss. Brishen is now facing immense challenges as he must navigate ruling a kingdom and protecting Ildiko from the looming threats.
The stakes are undoubtedly high, and Brishen's journey to save his kingdom and safeguard Ildiko from harm promises to be a gripping narrative. Grace Draven has crafted a world filled with rich characters and intricate plots, and I am eager to see how Brishen and Ildiko's story unfolds. The transition from relative peace to impending chaos, as suggested by the ending of *Radiance*, sets the stage for an epic continuation in *Eidolon*. With Brishen's newfound responsibilities and the ever-present danger, this next chapter in The Wraith Kings series is bound to be captivating.
I’m eager to dive into the next installment of The Elemental Series, "The Fall of Water" by Elizabeth Hunter. Though I still have some reservations about the story, it’s starting to develop into a decent read. You can see the author’s growth through the books as she continues to refine her storytelling and character development. From the first book, I was hesitant to read the rest of the series, but I stuck with it like a good blogger. I’m glad I did because the last book was quite good, even though I was upset that Beatrice’s father was killed off before he barely got a spotlight.
I hope to see more of Tenzin’s character development in this book. She’s an intriguing character, and I love her badass, powerhouse persona. Female warriors always capture my heart, and Tenzin is no exception. Additionally, Ben continues to be a standout for me. His character’s sarcasm, innocence, and childlike demeanor make him a delight to read. He’s got this perfect blend of deviousness and trickery that adds a unique flavor to the story. I can already tell he’s going to remain my favorite character throughout all of the books.
Elizabeth Hunter has shown significant maturity in her writing, and it’s been fascinating to witness her evolution as an author. Although the series had a rocky start for me, it’s improved, and I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing where "The Fall of Water" takes the story next. The balance of action, character development, and emotional depth are promising, and I’m excited to jump into this next chapter of The Elemental Series.
As I prepare to dive into "The Force of Wind" by Elizabeth Hunter, I have to admit that I'm not too sure if I'm going to like this book, considering how Beatrice has been acting in the last two installments. Her character development has been quite frustrating to watch. First of all, the girl needs to get over the fact that Giovanni left her alone for five years so that she could try to grow up a little bit. I find her constant references to this and her hatred towards him, despite his numerous apologies, mundane and repetitive. She needs to get over herself and move on.
Giovanni made a mistake, and he realizes that. He apologized profusely, and its high time Beatrice moved past it. Enough said. Now, let's talk about Giovanni, the dashing debonair. He needs to apologize once more, just to set the stage for Beatrice to finally get over him, leaving her. His character is interesting, but his past actions need to be addressed and put to rest for the story to progress meaningfully.
On a brighter note, I love that Giovanni has adopted Ben. I seriously think Ben is going to be my favorite character in this whole book. He brings a sense of joy and laughter that is sorely missing from the other characters. I hope Elizabeth builds on his character more, adding depth and light-hearted moments to balance out the drama.
But enough talk. Despite my reservations, I'm ready to dive into "The Force of Wind" and see where the story takes us. Here's to hoping for some positive character development and an engaging read.
I can't contain my excitement for the latest installment in The Portlock Series, "The Vampire and the Case of the Cursed Canine" by Heather G. Harris and Jilleen Dolenbeare. This series has always had a special place in my heart, and each new book brings a thrilling blend of mystery, supernatural elements, and heartwarming moments. However, this new plot twist has me on edge. From what I've gathered from the synopsis, it seems our beloved Fluffy, the adorable puppy, is at the center of a sinister curse. As an ardent animal lover, this revelation has left me both devastated and anxious.
Fluffy has always been one of my favorite characters. His innocence and charm bring so much joy to the story, and I can't bear the thought of him suffering. The idea of him being cursed is heart-wrenching. I'm filled with dread at the possibility of something terrible happening to him. If anything were to occur, Fluffy, I don't know how I could reconcile my love for the series with such a heartbreaking event. It's a testament to the authors' skill that they've made me care so deeply about every character, especially our four-legged friend.
Reflecting on Fluffy's predicament, I can't help but think back to the moment he was found locked in that dumpster. I always sensed there was more to his story, but I never imagined it would be a curse. Now, I'm left wondering if his previous owner abandoned him because of this dark affliction rather than attempting to lift it. If that's the case, shame on that owner! But rather than dwell on the past, I'm eager to dive into the book and discover what fate has in store for Fluffy. I have my fingers crossed that our heroes can save him and break the curse, ensuring Fluffy gets the happy ending he so deserves. Let's embark on this emotional journey together and hope for the best for our beloved puppy.
I'm diving into "This Same Earth" by Heather Hunter with high hopes and anticipation. Beatrice's character development is at the forefront of my mind. In "A Hidden Fire," her attitude toward Giovanni is incredibly irritating, and it often feels like their relationship is stuck in a frustrating loop. Giovanni's reluctance to openly confess his love for Beatrice only added to my annoyance. So, I'm really hoping "This Same Earth" brings a lot of maturity and growth to Beatrice's character and finally resolves the tension between her and Giovanni.
Moreover, I'm eagerly looking forward to more action scenes and more sex scenes than I can care to admit. The first book had its moments, but I felt these elements could have been explored more to add that extra layer of spice and excitement. Action-packed sequences and steamy encounters can truly elevate the narrative and keep readers like me on the edge of our seats.
Let's hope "This Same Earth" delivers on all these fronts, providing a well-rounded and thrilling experience. I'm ready for Beatrice to grow, for Giovanni to finally express his true feelings, and for the book to bring the heat in every sense of the word. Here's to a captivating and exhilarating read, hopefully!
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dana Porter for recommending the book "A Hidden Fire" by Elizabeth Hunter. It was an exciting and thoughtful choice, and I’m eager to dive into this new adventure. The synopsis alone has me hooked, and I can’t wait to see what mysteries and twists the story holds.
From what I gather, the book dealer Giovanni is not your ordinary human. There’s something otherworldly about him—perhaps he’s an immortal being, possibly a vampire, a fae, or even an angel. The mere hint of his mysterious nature piqued my curiosity piqued. The idea of unraveling his secrets, especially alongside the character Beatrice, promises to be a thrilling ride.
I’ve always enjoyed stories that blend elements of the supernatural with a good mystery, and "A Hidden Fire" seems to do just that. I’m particularly looking forward to exploring the dynamic between Giovanni and Beatrice. Their interactions and the unfolding of the mystery surrounding Giovanni’s true nature sound like they’ll keep me on the edge of my seat. This book sounds like a perfect blend of intrigue, supernatural elements, and compelling characters— which is right up my alley.
Once again, thank you, Dana, for the fantastic recommendation. I’m ready to immerse myself in the world Elizabeth Hunter has created and to uncover the secrets of Giovanni and Beatrice. Here’s to another exciting reading journey!
I am thrilled to dive into Agent of the Fae, the final installment in the Dark Fae FBI series by C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers. This series has been a wild ride of action, intrigue, and sizzling romance, and I can't wait to see how it all concludes. From what I infer from the synopsis, it seems like Cassandra will face some tough choices, and I'm eagerly hoping she chooses Roan over the human world. The dynamic between Cassandra and Roan has been one of my favorite aspects of the series, and their chemistry is simply electric.
As we reach the climax of this captivating series, I'm also crossing my fingers that Erlene finds somewhere else to be. Her presence has been a thorn in Cassandra's side, and honestly, I've had enough of her meddling and negativity. I'm hoping this final book will see her sidelined, allowing the focus to remain on the thrilling adventures and the deepening relationship between Cassandra and Roan.
The anticipation of seeing how Cassandra navigates her final challenges and whether she ultimately chooses to embrace her place in the fae world with Roan is keeping me on the edge of my seat. Agent of the Fae promises to deliver an epic conclusion to a series that has kept me captivated from the very beginning. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
I can't wait to dive into Agent of Darkness by C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers, the next thrilling installment of the Dark Fae FBI series. The way Agent of Chaos left off with Cassandra heading to the Ferry Lands to fulfill her promise to Roan has me on the edge of my seat. I'm eagerly hoping that in this book, Cassandra and Roan will finally give in to their urges and have some much-needed fun together.
Their dynamic has been a fascinating blend of tension and attraction, and it's high time they let those sparks fly. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that Elrine might try to wedge herself between them somehow. Her meddling presence always seems to stir up trouble, and I’m curious to see how Cassandra and Roan will handle her interference.
Despite the potential complications, I'm excited to see what happens next. The blend of Fae mythology, the intricate plot twists, and the sizzling chemistry between Cassandra and Roan make this series a must-read for me. Agent of Darkness promises to be another captivating journey into the dark and enchanting world of the Fae, and I’m ready to see where it takes me.
I can hardly contain my excitement as I prepare to dive into *Agent of Chaos* by CN Crawford and Alex Rivers, the next thrilling installment in the Dark Fae FBI series. The dynamic between Ronan and Cassandra has me completely hooked. Their sizzling interludes always keep me on the edge of my seat, wondering if their heated fights will eventually turn into heated kisses, and then some. The tension between them is palpable, and it’s one of the main reasons I’m so invested in their story.
In the last book, I noticed that Roan seemed to start warming to Cassandra. It’s fascinating to watch his attitude shift from "I hate you" to potentially "I love you." This change adds a layer of complexity to their relationship, making their interactions even more captivating. I’m eagerly anticipating how their connection will evolve in this next book. Will their fiery arguments finally give way to something more passionate and intimate? I can’t wait to find out.
Additionally, the revelation that Cassandra’s parents' death might be linked to the current events in London adds a whole new level of intrigue to the story. This connection piques my curiosity and makes the plot even more compelling. I’m eager to see how this mystery unfolds and what it means for Cassandra’s journey.
What I hope to see in *Agent of Chaos* is more sexual interaction between Cassandra and Roan. Their chemistry is undeniable, and I’m excited to see how their relationship develops in this regard. Furthermore, I’m keen to learn more about Sheefra, the mysterious figure connected to Cassandra’s parents' murder. Unraveling this part of the story will undoubtedly add depth to the overall narrative and keep me glued to the pages.
I can’t wait to immerse myself in this next book, and I’m sure it will be just as enthralling as the first. See you in the comments as we unravel the mysteries and explore the sizzling dynamics together!
I've just started reading "Agent of Enchantment" by C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers, and I'm already hooked. The book kicks off with a female FBI agent on the trail of a serial killer, only to discover the killer is actually Fae. As a huge fan of Fae stories, I believe that this blend of mystery, suspense, and FBI profiling is right up my alley. I pride myself on being pretty good at predicting plot twists, so I'm excited to see how this story unfolds
Based on the synopsis, I have high hopes that our protagonist will discover her own Fae heritage throughout the book. She supposedly possesses magical powers, and I'm particularly hoping for fire magic, which would align perfectly with the book's cover. If it turns out her powers aren't fire-related, I might have a bone to pick with the authors about the misleading cover art. Nonetheless, I'm eager to dive deeper and see what happens next in "Agent of Enchantment" by C.N. Crawford and Alex Rivers.
As I prepare to dive into WarSong by Elizabeth Vaughn, I find myself wondering if this book will live up to the high expectations set by WarDance. WarDance captivated me with its rich storytelling and compelling characters, and I can only hope WarSong delivers the same level of excitement and emotional depth. From what I can glean from the synopsis, there's a lot happening in this book, particularly revolving around Joden and Amyu. Their storyline promises to be intense and dramatic, hinting at a potential soulmate connection between the two.
The idea of Joden and Amyu as soulmates intrigues me, especially given the hints of a Romeo and Juliet-type scenario. Forbidden love is always a powerful theme, and the prospect of their relationship being torn apart by external forces adds a layer of tension and anticipation. I'm eager to see how their love story unfolds and what obstacles they will face. Will they be able to overcome the challenges that threaten to tear them apart, or will their love story end in tragedy?
As I turn the first few pages of WarSong, I'm filled with excitement and curiosity. The Chronicles of the Warlands has consistently delivered epic tales of love, war, and destiny, and I expect nothing less from this installment. With Joden and Amyu's fates hanging in the balance, I can't wait to see what happens next in this epic saga. Vaughn has a knack for creating unforgettable characters and heart-pounding plots, and I am ready to be swept away once again into the world she has so masterfully crafted.
I can't contain my excitement for "WarDance" by Elizabeth Vaughn, the next installment in the Chronicles of the Warlands series. Simus, without a doubt, is my favorite character. His humor, attitude, and witty commentary have always added a delightful flavor to the narrative. I was so disappointed when he didn't appear in the last book, "Warcry." However, I am absolutely thrilled that Vaughn decided to center this story around him.
From the synopsis, it seems that Simus will be working closely with a character named Snowfall to unravel the mystery behind a bright light that appeared in the heart of the Plains. The Plains are undergoing rapid changes, and this new element adds an intriguing twist to the evolving landscape. I'm eager to see how Simus's unique perspective and resourcefulness will come into play as he navigates these challenges.
The dynamic between Simus and Snowfall promises to be fascinating. With Simus's sharp wit and Snowfall's enigmatic presence, their partnership is bound to be compelling. I can't wait to dive into this adventure and see how they tackle the mysteries and upheavals facing the Plains. "WarDance" is sure to be an exhilarating addition to the Chronicles of the Warlands.
I can't contain my excitement as I dive into "Warcry," the latest installment in Elizabeth Vaughn's Chronicles of the Warlands series. From what I've gathered from the synopsis, this book centers around Heath and Atira of the Bear. I vividly remember Atira from "Warprize," the first book in the series, and she quickly became one of my favorite characters. Her strength, independence, and fierce loyalty made a lasting impression on me, so the prospect of her having a central role in "Warcry" is incredibly thrilling.
Heath has always intrigued me as well, and I've been eagerly anticipating a deeper exploration of his character. The idea of Heath and Atira coming together is something I've hoped for since their interactions in earlier books. Their chemistry was undeniable, and I believe they would make a formidable couple. Their combined skills and unyielding determination would undoubtedly create an unstoppable force against their enemies.
I'm particularly excited to see how they will navigate their relationship amidst the chaos of war. I hope that they will unite, not just in battle, but in their hearts as well. The thought of them fighting side by side, strategizing, and protecting those they care about, especially Lara and the Warlord Kier, is exhilarating. I can't wait to see how their dynamic unfolds and how they contribute to the larger narrative of the Warlands. "Warcry" promises to be a captivating read, and I'm eager to immerse myself in Heath and Atira's journey, rooting for them to triumph both on and off the battlefield.
I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment in the Chronicles of the Warlands series, "Warlord" by Elizabeth Vaughn. The last book left me on edge as Warlord Keir of the Cat was summoned back to the heart of the Plains to face charges against him. This unexpected turn of events has thrown his plans to unite the Plains with Xy into jeopardy, making me even more excited to see how this new chapter unfolds. The stakes are higher than ever, and it appears that Keir might have to give up everything to be with Lara, which adds an intense layer of drama and emotional depth to the story.
From the synopsis, it seems that Xylara will have to face formidable adversaries, including the Warpriests and the Council. This sets the stage for another thrilling and action-packed narrative. I am particularly eager to see how Lara, with her remarkable healing skills, will navigate these challenges. Her journey has always been one of growth and resilience, and I hope she can win over the Council with her compassion and expertise.
Moreover, I am curious to see how Lara and Keir will handle the trials ahead. Their bond has been tested in numerous ways, and I have no doubt that this book will bring even more challenges to their relationship. My hope is that their love and commitment to each other will see them through these tough times.
One aspect I am particularly hopeful for is the return of Joden to Lara's side. His decision to speak against Keir and Xylara at the Council was a surprising twist, and I am eager to see how this conflict will be resolved. Joden's loyalty and friendship have always been vital to Lara's journey, and I hope to see them reconcile and unite against the common threats they face.
Overall, "Warlord" promises to be a captivating continuation of the series, filled with intrigue, challenges, and the enduring spirit of its beloved characters. I can't wait to dive into this next adventure and see how Lara and Keir's story evolves.
I am eagerly anticipating diving into "Warsworn" by Elizabeth Vaughn, the next thrilling installment in the Chronicles of the Warlands series. The synopsis alone has my heart racing with excitement as Kier and Xylara brace themselves to confront a deadly plague. Plagues have a notorious reputation for decimating entire armies, and I am genuinely anxious about the fate of Kier's forces. The tension is palpable as I wonder how they will manage to survive this onslaught without losing everything they've fought for.
Iften's presence in this chaos adds another layer of suspense. His opportunistic nature makes me worry that he will seize this moment of vulnerability to undermine Kier and take control of the army. The thought of Kier falling ill and Iften exploiting the situation to kill him with his sword sends chills down my spine. Although Kier is a main character and likely safe from such a grim fate, the potential plot twists keep me on the edge of my seat.
Above all, I fervently hope for Iften's demise. His character has always rubbed me the wrong way and seeing him get his comeuppance would be immensely satisfying. As I turn the pages of "Warsworn," I can't wait to see how these complex dynamics unfold and what surprises Elizabeth Vaughn has in store for us. This book promises to be a gripping read, filled with intrigue, danger, and the resilience of its beloved characters.
I am absolutely thrilled to dive into Destiny of the Witch by Heather G. Harris. The anticipation of uncovering more about Amber and Bastian's fate has me on the edge of my seat. The prophecy from the previous book has set Amber on a path filled with mystery and potential, and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Amber's journey has been a captivating mix of trials, triumphs, and the deepening bond between her and Bastian, and this next installment promises even more excitement and revelations.
One of the aspects I am most excited about is Amber's quest to create the potion that will finally restore her mother's memory. The process she began in the previous book was both heart-wrenching and hopeful, and now, with the familiar parts of Indy borrowed from the hellhound pup of Jinx and Emery, she has a real chance at success. This potion is no ordinary concoction—it's a time rift memory potion, something that has never been created before. If Amber succeeds, it will not only be a monumental achievement but also provide her with the answers she desperately seeks about her life, her destiny, and her estranged father.
Amber Reddy is already known for her somewhat poorly named oral potion, but this new endeavor could catapult her into a new realm of fame. The time rift memory potion holds the promise of groundbreaking magic, and Amber's determination and skill make her the perfect candidate to bring it to fruition. As she works towards this goal, I am eager to see how her relationship with Bastian evolves and how they tackle the challenges that come their way together.
Destiny of the Witch is set to be a thrilling continuation of Amber's journey. With the stakes higher than ever and the promise of monumental discoveries on the horizon, Heather G. Harris has crafted a tale that I can't wait to immerse myself in. Amber's resilience, intelligence, and the deepening connection with Bastian make this series a must-read, and I am ready to see what destiny has in store for them.
I can hardly contain my excitement for the next installment of Heather G. Harris's "Other Witch" series, Familiar of the Witch. This series has captivated me from the beginning, and the dynamic between Amber and Bastian is a major reason why. Their chemistry is palpable, each interaction charged with emotion and tension. Amber's strength and resilience are inspiring, while Bastian's complex nature adds depth to their relationship. They make such a compelling duo, and I can't wait to see where their story leads next.
However, the ending of the last book left me on edge. Amber being arrested for killing a black witch in self-defense feels so unjust. She was protecting herself, and yet she's the one facing repercussions. It's a twist that showcases the harsh realities of their world but also adds a layer of frustration and anticipation. I really hope that the video evidence Amber took in the last book will be enough to clear her name. Her courage in capturing that moment might be the key to her freedom, and I’m eager to see how this plays out
The stakes are higher than ever, and I'm thrilled to dive into Familiar of the Witch. I have so many questions: Will Amber's evidence be enough to exonerate her? How will Bastian react to her situation? What new challenges and adventures await them both? Harris has a knack for weaving intricate plots with rich character development, and I know this book will be no exception. The journey of Amber and Bastian is far from over, and I’m ready to be swept away once more into their magical, tumultuous world.
With each book, Harris deepens my investment in Amber's journey and her evolving relationship with Bastian. Their bond, tested by trials and strengthened by loyalty, is a cornerstone of the series. Familiar of the Witch promises to be another thrilling chapter in their saga, filled with danger, magic, and, hopefully, justice for Amber.
I am so excited to dive into "The Vampire in the Case of the Baleful Banshee" by Heather G. Harris. I've been eagerly anticipating this book ever since I finished the last one in the series. Each installment has kept me on the edge of my seat, with its unique blend of mystery and supernatural intrigue. The way Harris crafts her stories, making each case a standalone puzzle while weaving in the overarching plot of discovering who turned Bunny into a vampire and why, is simply masterful. I can't wait to see what twists and turns await in this new adventure.
What really draws me in is the character development, especially the dynamic between Bunny and Connor. Their relationship has been building up so tantalizingly through the series, and I'm really hoping that this book will finally see some action between them. The tension and chemistry they share add an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling narrative. Every time they are on the page together, I can't help but root for them, and I have a feeling that this time, their story might take a significant step forward, I’m especially hoping that kinder explains what this zing between them is.
Heather G. Harris has a knack for creating vivid, engaging worlds, and I have no doubt that "The Vampire in the Case of the Baleful Banshee" will be no exception. The title itself promises an intriguing mix of vampire lore and banshee mythology, which I'm sure will be a fascinating combination. I am eager to see how Bunny navigates this latest challenge, and what new characters and creatures will be introduced along the way. The anticipation of discovering more about the mysterious circumstances surrounding Bunny's transformation keeps me hooked.
In summary, my excitement for "The Vampire in the Case of the Baleful Banshee" is through the roof. Heather G. Harris has consistently delivered captivating stories that blend standalone mysteries with a compelling overarching plot. With the promise of further developments between Bunny and Connor, and the intriguing new case involving a banshee, I am sure this book will be another fantastic addition to the series. I can't wait to immerse myself in Bunny's world once again and unravel the latest supernatural mystery.
I am absolutely thrilled to dive into Heather G Harris's latest book, "Coven of the Witch." From what I can gather from the synopsis, this installment promises to be nothing short of epic. The story centers on Amber facing a heart-wrenching dilemma: she must choose between saving a young acolyte and her aunt. This tricky situation has me on the edge of my seat, eagerly wondering how Amber is going to navigate such a challenging predicament.
One of my hopes for this book is to see the relationship between Amber and Bastian evolve from cautious friendship into a full-fledged romance. Their dynamic has been fascinating to watch, and I believe there is potential for a deeper connection. Heather G Harris has a talent for developing complex relationships, and I am excited to see how she will handle Amber and Bastian's evolving bond in this new context.
Additionally, I am rooting for Amber to find a way to save both her aunt and the young acolyte. Both characters are in desperate need of her assistance, and it would be a testament to Amber's growth and resourcefulness if she could pull off such a feat. I suspect that Amber might have to set aside her differences and recruit Cassie's help, despite any reservations she may have. Sometimes, for the greater good, we must make tough choices and unlikely alliances.
"Coven of the Witch" is shaping up to be a thrilling read, and I can’t wait to see how Amber overcomes these new challenges. Heather G Harris's storytelling continues to captivate, and I am excited to see how this next chapter in Amber and Bastian's story unfolds. Here's to hoping for epic twists, heartfelt moments, and a satisfying continuation of their journey.
I'm beyond thrilled to dive into the next installment of Heather G Harris's captivating series, Rune of the Witch! As a huge fan of Amber's journey, I'm eager to see what's in store for her in this new chapter. The prospect of Bastian her mortal enemy and the Griffin who killed her lover, seeking her help is a tantalizing twist that has me hooked. I mean, isn't karma a Bitch, indeed? The fact that Amber's been holding a grudge against Bastian for so long only adds to the complexity of their relationship, making their potential friendship or even romance all the more intriguing.
As I delve into Rune of the Witch, I'm hoping to see Amber and Bastian navigate their tumultuous past and work together to save his daughter. It's clear that Bastian's come to Amber for help, but can she truly put aside her feelings and trust him? The dynamic between these two characters is ripe for exploration, and I'm excited to see how their interactions will unfold. Will they find a way to bury the hatchet and put aside their animosity, or will their past continue to simmer beneath the surface? Whatever the case, I'm confident that Heather G Harris will weave a tale that's both captivating and emotionally resonant.
What I love about Heather G Harris's writing is her ability to craft complex characters with rich backstories, and I'm eager to see how she'll develop Amber and Bastian further. The potential for tension, conflict, and ultimately, redemption, is palpable. As I turn the pages of Rune of the Witch, I'm anticipating a thrilling adventure filled with magic, mystery, and heart-pumping action. Bring it on, Heather!
I'm beyond excited to be rereading Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan. I first devoured this book a few years ago, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since. One of the things that I love most about this book is its ability to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Whether you're a teenager or a mature reader, there's something about Warprize that will captivate you. The story is engaging and exciting, with a pace that will keep you turning the pages long into the night.
I also appreciate the way Elizabeth Vaughan tells a story. She has a gift for painting vivid pictures with her words, but she never gets too bogged down in details. The result is a narrative that's easy to follow and easy to become immersed in. The world-building is top-notch, and the characters are well-developed and complex. I've always been particularly fond of the protagonist, Xylara, and the way she navigates her newfound role as a Warprize. Her struggles and triumphs are deeply relatable, and I find myself rooting for her from the very start.
Rereading Warprize is like revisiting an old friend - I'm excited to see familiar characters and plot threads again, but I'm also looking forward to discovering new nuances and insights that I might have missed the first time around. If you're looking for a great read that's easy to get into, I highly recommend giving Warprize a try. Whether you're new to the book or like me, a seasoned fan, you're sure to find something to love in Elizabeth Vaughan's captivating tale.
Before reading The Other Realm, The Other Wolf, and The Other Witch series, please review this blog first as it gives you the reading order in which the book should be read to be fully enjoyed, as well as to fully envision the authors vision.
I can't express how excited I am to dive into Heather G. Harris's next book, "Hex of the Witch." From the moment Amber was introduced in the Glimmer series, I was captivated by her character. She's not just a powerful witch; she's a formidable presence with a mix of attitude, kindness, and a caring heart. Amber's complexity makes her incredibly relatable and intriguing, and I've been eager to see more of her story unfold.
In this book, I'm particularly looking forward to seeing the dynamic between Amber and Bastian develop further. The tension and history between them, especially after the events of "Rune of the Witch," set the stage for a fascinating exploration of forgiveness and redemption. I'm hopeful that Amber and Bastian will be able to bury the hatchet, or at least form a tentative friendship. Amber's journey toward forgiving Bastian for killing her fiancé is a tough one, but considering he was merely fulfilling a contract, the real anger should be directed at the person who ordered the hit. This nuance adds depth to their relationship and opens the door for potential reconciliation.
The little bridge of trust they managed to build in "Rune of the Witch" has so much potential. I'm excited to see if this bridge can evolve into a cautious friendship, and perhaps even hint at a budding romance. The idea of Amber and Bastian finding common ground and maybe even a connection beyond their troubled past is thrilling. It adds an emotional layer to the action and intrigue that Heather G. Harris is so good at crafting.
Overall, "Hex of the Witch" promises to be a compelling continuation of Amber's story. I'm eager to see how her character grows and how her relationship with Bastian unfolds. This book has all the elements of a great read, and I can't wait to get started.
I'm still reeling from the disappointment of not getting to see Emery and Jinx's wedding in the previous book. All that build-up and hype, only to have it left hanging in the air. I'm not even going to go into details, I'm still too salty about it. But, moving on to Revival of the Courts, I hope Emory and Jinx finally get their wedding in this book. But from the sound of it, it doesn’t seem as though that’s going to happen.
Of course, I'm also intrigued by the fact that Jinx gets taken away by the connection before the wedding. What did she do? What's going on? I'm dying to know more. From what I can gather from the synopsis, it seems like Jinx is going to be going after the daemon before she can finally have her happily-ever-after with Emery. I'm hoping that we get to see some amazing teamwork between Jinx and Emery as they take on the daemon together. They've had some great moments in previous books, and I'm excited to see what they come up with this time around.
On a more personal note, I'm absolutely loving Little Indie, the newest hellhound that Jinx acquired. She's just so adorable, and I'm hoping we get to see more of her in this book. And please, for the love of all things good, let Gatto get his strength back! He's one of my favorite characters in the whole series, and I don't want anything to happen to him. Anyway, onto the next book keep posted for the newest blog hopefully in the next day or two.
Before I dive headfirst into the world of Heather G Harris's "Betrayal of the Court," I am struck by the humor that permeates the story. The quote "Death, theft, marriage, it's an average day in the other realm" resonated with me, and I found myself chuckling at the absurdity of it all. In this world, nothing is as it seems, and even the most mundane events can be turned on their head. But what makes this story truly compelling is the way Harris weaves together complex characters and plotlines, keeping me on the edge of my seat.
I find myself rooting for Jinx and Emery, hoping that they would navigate the treacherous decisions of the elders visiting Emory's court. Will they emerge unscathed, or will they face the consequences of their actions? I'm also eager to see more of Lucy, Jinx's best friend. Her sharp wit and caring nature make her a standout character, and I hope we get to see more of her in this book. Speaking of which, I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get to witness Jinx and Emery's wedding - it's got to be a wild ride, and Lucy's presence would only add to the excitement.
Throughout the story, I'm excited to see how Harris balances the lighter moments with the darker themes of power struggles and deceit. With her cast of complex characters and intricate plotlines, I have no doubt that "Betrayal of the Court" will be a wild ride. As I continue reading, I'm holding onto my hopes for Jinx and Emery's future, Lucy's continued presence, and of course, that wedding is going to be a thrilling ride!
I'm beyond excited to dive into the next book in the Emory's Court series by Heather G. Harris. As a huge fan of dragons, I've been waiting with bated breath for the next installment, and I'm thrilled to see what's in store for Jinx and the other dragons. The thought of getting to know them better, to learn more about their struggles and triumphs, has me practically bursting with anticipation.
I have to admit, I'm particularly invested in Jinx's story. I've been rooting for her since the beginning, and I'm eager to see if she'll be able to survive the trials that lie ahead. In my experience, books about dragons and their mates often involve intense battles and clever maneuvering to overcome the challenges. I hope that's not the case this time around, but either way, I'm confident that Jinx has the determination and spirit to rise to the occasion. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll emerge victorious, but most of all, I'm excited to see how her journey unfolds.
As I eagerly await the arrival of this new book, I'm already imagining all the twists and turns that Jinx will face. Will she be able to prove her worthiness as Emory's mate? What kind of challenges will she need to overcome? And what role will the other dragons play in her journey? I'm sure that Heather G. Harris has some amazing surprises in store for me, and I can't wait to find out what's next for Jinx and the rest of Emory's Court. Bring on the adventure!
My concern for this book is that it's going to be similar to Glimmer of Dragons, which was a very short book that could have easily fit into the series somewhere. As someone who has fallen in love with this series, I'm always excited to dive into a new installment, but I worry that this novella will be another short story that doesn't quite feel like a full-fledged addition to the series. With most novellas in a series, there's usually a piece of writing that matches the series but doesn't exactly fit into the storyline - and while I understand that sometimes these stories are intentionally standalone, I also know that with a little bit of editing, it could easily fit into another story. Despite these reservations, I'm hopeful for this book - I'm eager to see how Heather Harris expands on the world she's created and adds more depth and richness to the characters and storylines. I'm keeping an open mind and hoping that this novella will be a delightful addition to the series, even if it doesn't necessarily add a ton of new plot points.
As I sat down to start "Glimmer of Dragons" by Heather G Harris, I couldn't shake off one nagging concern. My deepest worry is that this book, being a short story, might just be a piece pulled out from one of the other novels because it didn't fit so well. I’ve seen this happen before, where such stories turn out to be teasers or fragments that could have easily been integrated into another book or even spread across multiple stories. While I remain hopeful that "Glimmer of Dragons" will stand strong on its own, I can't help but feel a bit apprehensive about its place within the broader narrative. Nonetheless, I am committed to reading through it, for you, my loyal readers, and we will discover together whether my concerns are justified.
I absolutely adore Lucy and her wolf companion, Esme. Their bond is truly special, and I can't get enough of their adventures together. In the previous book, we learned that Lucy has a supernatural family she was separated from as a child due to enemies seeking to harm her. This revelation has only made me more invested in her story and her quest to uncover the truth about her origins.
I'm on the edge of my seat to read the next installment and learn more about the prophecy surrounding Lucy. The prospect of her discovering her true destiny has me captivated. And let's not forget her badass best friend, Jinx, who is hands down cooler than Sherlock Holmes himself. I can't wait to see more of their dynamic duo in action.
My hopes for this book are sky-high. I'm desperately hoping that Lucy finally learns the details of the prophecy and what it means for her future. And now that she's dating Manners, I'm crossing my fingers for some romantic developments between them. But above all, I'm eager to see more of Jinx's detective skills and her unwavering support for Lucy. This duo is truly unstoppable, and I can't wait to see what adventures await them.
As I started reading Guardians of the Pack, I couldn't help but feel a sense of Deja Vu. Once again, there's a murder mystery afoot with a body found on Lucy's lawn at her mansion. Part of me worries that this book may end up repeating too much of the same ground as the previous one. However, I'm willing to reserve judgment until I dive deeper into the story.
I am intrigued by the introduction of gargoyles into this supernatural world. Bringing new mythical creatures into the mix could really shake things up in an interesting way. I'm curious to learn more about their role and how they'll factor into the overarching plot. Plus, the mystery of how the body ended up on Lucy's property has me hooked already.
My biggest hope for this installment is that the pack finally, fully accepts Lucy as their rightful alpha leader without giving her too much guff. She's proven herself time and again, so it would be great to see her receive the respect and loyalty she deserves without constant challenges to her authority. A unified pack would make for a refreshing change of pace
Additionally, I'm eager for more appearances by the whimsical unicorn character introduced in the last book. He added such a fun, lighthearted dynamic, and I have a feeling he'll play an increasingly important part moving forward. Fingers crossed he gets plenty of page time to work his unicorn magic.
While I have a few reservations, I'm staying optimistic that Guardians of the Pack will build upon the last book in an entertaining, progressive way for the series as a whole.
I'm really excited about the book Defender of the Pack by Heather G. Harris, which is part of her Other Realm series. This particular book is a spinoff focusing on the bow werewolves, and I can't wait to dive deeper into the story,
One of the things I love about this series is that it's interconnected, so to fully appreciate the events and characters in Defender of the Pack, you'll want to read the previous books in a specific order. That way, you won't spoil any major plot points or character developments. It's like getting to experience the entire rich tapestry of this world as it unfolds.
As for my hopes for this particular book, I'm really rooting for Lucy to step up and embrace her role as the alpha leader her pack. From what I know of her character so far, she has the potential to be a fierce and formidable alpha, and I can't wait to see her growth and development in that regard.
Additionally, I'm hoping we'll get some resolution or at least progress on the mystery surrounding the murdering succubus that forced Jinx's friend to become a werewolf. That's such a compelling and tragic backstory, and I'm eager to see how it all unfolds and whether justice will be served.
Overall, I'm just thrilled to have another installment in this captivating world of werewolves, supernatural beings, and high-stakes adventures. Heather G. Harris has crafted a truly immersive and engaging series, and I can't wait to see where Defender of the Pack takes us next.
To fully appreciate and follow the "Protection of the Pack" series by Heather G. Harris without spoiling the storyline, it is essential to read the "Glimmer" series first followed by the Defender of the Pack stand alone book as a bridge to this book. This order ensures a cohesive and immersive reading experience, allowing readers to understand the intricate plot developments and character arcs.
As a spin-off series from Harris's acclaimed "The Other Realm" series, "Protection of the Pack" promises to be an exciting and captivating read, especially for someone like me who adores werewolves and wolves. The prospect of delving into a world revolving around these fascinating creatures fills me with anticipation and excitement.
One of my primary hopes for this book is to witness the protagonist, Lucy, deliver a well-deserved comeuppance to the despicable character who mercilessly drained the life from her beloved James, the succubus. I envision Lucy exacting revenge with the ferocity of a vengeful warrior, metaphorically donning stiletto heels and digging them into the cold heart of her adversary, allowing karma to take its course.
Furthermore, I harbor high expectations for this series to become one of my favorites, not only due to its werewolf-centric theme but also because of the potential for a budding romantic relationship between Lucy and Greg Manners Their union would create an intriguing dynamic, combining their respective strengths and abilities into an unstoppable force, making for an enthralling narrative.
I must admit, I'm feeling a bit reluctant to dive into "The Vampire and the Case of the Secretive Siren" by Heather G. Harris. The previous book we read in this supposed series had a completely different case, with no connection whatsoever to the storyline or events of the first book. It's starting to feel like the author is simply throwing in random stories with the same characters, trying to pass it off as a cohesive series when it's really just a collection of standalone tales.
I can't help but feel a tinge of frustration at the lack of continuity. This type of series feels similar to the original Sherlock Holmes series where it was a collection of books that were stand-alone cases. But where Conan Doyle made the book seem a little more cohesive, with these vampire books, however, it seems like we're just getting a hodgepodge of unrelated adventures, with no real sense of an overarching narrative or character growth.
I'm concerned that "The Vampire and the Case of the Secretive Siren" will be yet another disconnected story, simply using the same characters and setting as a convenient backdrop. While I enjoy the author's writing style and the supernatural elements, I can't help but crave a more cohesive series that feels like it's building towards something greater. If this book proves to be just another standalone tale, I may have to reconsider my investment in this supposed "series."
As I dive into "The Vampire and the Case of the Secretive Siren," I can't help but harbor a glimmer of hope that this book will finally bring some resolution to the simmering tension between Bunny and Connor. They've been my favorite potential couple since the very first book, and their chemistry has only grown more electric with each passing adventure. I'm rooting for them to finally acknowledge their feelings for one another and take that leap into a romantic relationship.
Beyond my shipping desires, I'm also cautiously optimistic that this installment will provide a much-needed sense of cohesion and continuity within the series. The fact that it's set in a different area of the same environment as the first book, which dealt with Bunny's supposed death, gives me hope that we might finally unravel the mystery of who orchestrated her alleged murder. A storyline that ties back to the events that kicked off this entire saga would be a refreshing change of pace and could help elevate this series from a collection of disjointed tales to a truly compelling narrative arc.
I'm so excited to finally read Kingdom of Ash, the conclusion to Sarah J. Maas's epic Throne of Glass series! Up until now, the books have been a masterful blend of character development, heart-pounding action, and an intricate game of manipulation, intrigue, and cunning.
I can't wait to see how Aelin's storyline unfolds after the shocking events of the previous book. While I'm desperate for her to be rescued from that dreadful coffin by her loyal subjects: Rowan, Gavriel, Lorcan, and Elide I really hope the entire novel isn't just about that rescue mission. I want to catch up with all the characters I've grown to love, seeing them reunite and prepare for the ultimate battle against the forces of darkness.
But if Aelin ends up stuck in that coffin for the whole book, you can bet I'll be raging! I need to see her badass self in action again. I'm also crossing my fingers that some of my favorite potential couples finally get together Aedion and Lysandra, Rowan and Aelin (obviously), Lorcan and Elide, Yrene and Chaol. The romantic tensions have been building for so long, and I need that payoff!
Overall, I have such high hopes that Maas sticks the landing with this finale and delivers an epic, action-packed, and emotionally resonant conclusion worthy of the journey. I can't wait to experience it all!
I'm really struggling to get into Tower of Dawn so far. Don't get me wrong, I love this fantasy world that Sarah J. Maas has created, but Chaol Westfall is just such an unlikable protagonist after the way he treated Celaena/Aelin in Heir of Fire. His terrible attitude and the way he wallowed in self-pity was infuriating. I need to see him really own up to his mistakes and redeem himself in a big way before I can get fully invested in his story again. His character arc better have one heck of a turnaround in this book.
The one saving grace seems to be the new characters like the healer Irene Towers and the former rebel Nesryn Faliq. I was really intrigued by Nesryn in Heir of Fire - she seemed like such a capable, no-nonsense badass. So, I'm holding out hope that her interactions with Chaol, and the introduction of Irene, can help carry the story even if Chaol himself continues to be a drag. But if this book doesn't course correct Chaol's character soon, I may lose my patience with him entirely. Redemption better becoming for this former Captain of the Guard.
In the tempestuous saga that is Sarah J. Maas's "Empire of Storms," anticipation crackles like wildfire through my veins as I yearn to witness Celaena Sardothien, now revealed as Aelin Galathynius, brace her steps towards reclaiming the throne that is righteously hers. With each turned page, I find myself fervently hoping to see her strategically summon allies, wielding the power of owed debts and promised favors as deftly as her blade, to amass a force formidable enough to challenge the dark clasp of Erawan.
Amidst the clashing swords and whispered schemes, I am equally gripped by the evolving tapestry of passions. The simmering tension between Aelin and Rowan has me eager for more of their fiery encounters, a dance of desire and power that both complicates and intensifies their battle wrought journey. Additionally, I cannot help but wish for sparks to fly between Aedion and Lysandra, whose nascent connection promises not only a tactical alliance but a romantic conflagration that could burn as brightly as Aelin’s own claim to her crown.
In Sarah J. Maas's thrilling saga, Celaena Sardothien, who later reveals her true identity as Aelin Galathynius, has traversed a tumultuous journey of loss and empowerment. One of the most poignant arcs in her story is her struggle with the grief following the tragic death of her dear friend Nehemia, which unfolded in "Heir of Fire." Initially, Aelin was consumed by a maelstrom of guilt and sorrow, nearly broken by the weight of the sacrifices made around her. Nehemia's death acted as a catalyst, however, forcing Aelin to confront her destiny and embrace her identity not just as a skilled assassin but as a true queen with formidable powers.
The journey of harnessing her firepower, both literal and metaphorical, was fraught with trials. It was during these moments that Ronan, a steadfast warrior sworn to Queen Maeve, became an unexpected source of support for Aelin. Unlike others, Ronan's approach was neither of overbearing protection nor distant respect; instead, he provided a balanced presence that Aelin needed to stabilize her fiery magic and volatile emotions. Under his taciturn guidance, she learned to control the raw, sometimes overwhelming, force of her fire, channeling it into a formidable weapon against her adversaries.
Now, as Aelin continues to sharpen her abilities, she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. Her grief, while still a scar upon her heart, has transformed from a point of weakness to a source of unyielding strength. The fire within her is no longer just a destructive blaze, but a beacon of hope for those she seeks to protect, including her cousin Aedion Ashryver and Dorian Havilliard, the Prince of Adarlan.
Looking ahead in the series, the growing bond between Aelin and Ronan presents a compelling development. As readers, we can hope that this partnership deepens into a profound connection, possibly evolving into life mates. Such an alliance would bring a new dimension to Aelin’s character and her capacity as a leader. Whereas "carranam" speaks to a soul-deep friendship, the potential life mate bond with Ronan might offer Aelin not just companionship and love but also an unmatched warrior by her side. In the upcoming challenges, it is with bated breath that we await to see if Aelin, with Ronan by her side, can save not only Aedion and seize her rightful throne but also rescue Dorian, thus overturning the dark forces encroaching upon their world.
The shocking truth about Celaena's identity as Aelin Galathynius left me utterly stunned. As the pieces fell into place, revealing her royal lineage and the extraordinary powers she possesses, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of awe and sadness. Awe at the incredible journey this young woman has undertaken, masking her true self for survival, and sadness that her bond with Chaol had to be sacrificed in the process. Their love seemed so pure, so unbreakable, and yet the weight of her destiny tore them apart. I mourn for what could have been, for the happiness they deserved but could not ultimately attain.
Yet, even as my heart aches for their lost love, I find myself brimming with hope for Aelin's future. With her true identity now known, I long to witness her embrace the full extent of her abilities. I yearn to see her wield the power of the Wyrdkeys, unlocking ancient magic and becoming the formidable force she was always meant to become. More than anything, I hope she finds her way back to her family, the Ashryvers, reclaiming her rightful place as the Queen of Terrasen. With her unbreakable spirit and newfound strength, I believe she has the power to unite kingdoms, topple tyranny, and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. Aelin's journey has only just begun, and I eagerly await the next chapter, where she will undoubtedly continues to defy expectations and reshape the very fabric of her world.
So Celaena becomes the king’s champion, love it. But will she be able to survive the king as she manipulates him throughout this story? This raises a good question; it requires Celaena to be sneaky and a good actress. Her fear of the king is palpable every time she’s in his presence she almost acts terrified like a scared little girl. It’ll be interesting needless to say, as she handles the king in this next book now that she’s his Champion and she has to work closely with him to do his bidding. The king is a cruel and ruthless man who strikes fear into the hearts of all who cross his path. Celaena must find the inner strength to overcome her terror of him if she hopes to use her position to help those in need.
She knows she cannot outright defy the king's orders, as that would lead to her own demise. Instead, Celaena must play a delicate game of manipulation and subterfuge. Every move she makes must be calculated and precise. One misstep could have disastrous consequences. Celaena hopes that in time, she can turn her fear of the king into resolve to undermine his cruelties in whatever small way she can.
As Celaena navigates the treacherous waters of the king's court, she finds herself drawn to Chaol, the strong and principled captain of the guard. Though their bond will surely be tested by the circumstances that force them to Live duplicitous lives, Celaena cannot deny the flutter of affection she feels whenever Chaol is near to her. Perhaps in him, she has found an ally who can help her survive this ordeal. Or perhaps their feelings will blossom into something more - a romance that could give Celaena the courage to fulfill her destiny.
Okay on to one of my favorite authors Sarah J. Maas, I love her rich detail and phenomenal descriptiveness that she uses in all of her books. I’m super excited to reread this book The Throne of Glass, just to refresh my memory before I write my review. But Real quick I just want to give a quick note about the Throne of Glass.
Before diving into Throne of Glass, I must emphasize the importance of reading The Assassin's Blade first. That novel provides crucial backstory and character development that enriches the reading experience of the subsequent books. While Throne of Glass can technically be read as a standalone, you'd be missing out on the intricate details and nuances that make Maas' world so captivating. Trust me, it's worth taking the time to read The Assassin's Blade first – it will make your journey through Throne of Glass and her other books in the series all the more rewarding.
So, I recommend reading the books in this Order:
Throne of Glass
Crown Of Midnight
Heir of Fire
Queen of Shadows
Empire of Storms
Tower of Dawn
Kingdom of Ash
In this prequel to the Throne of Glass series, we follow the journeys of Celaena Sardothien, and will learn about the events that molded her into the person she became in the books of the throne of glass series. Now since I’ve already read this book, I’m going to do things a little differently with this series. I’m going to give you tips and things to look out for in the books that will help you understand parts of the books later on in the series.
For example, in the story of the pirate Lord, keep in mind the deal she makes with Rauf at the end of that chapter, that deal is brought up later on in the series. Now I haven’t read this book as many times as I’ve read the other ones in the series, because it just came out last year. But let’s just say that I think my favorite part of this book, is the assassin and the desert. In a close second is the assassin and the healer. So, pay attention to those stories especially, because those also are brought up later on in the series.
I’m not sure how I’m going to feel about this book, because from the context of the synopsis I can infer that it seems like someone's trying to kill Jinx but how is that different from the other three books. And every one of the books that we’ve read so far, somebody’s tried to kill her one after another. But I must say kudos to Jinx and Emory for closing the deal. Though it was a little sparse on the detail I am really happy that Jinx and Emory finally slept together.
Though I kind of saw that one coming because any myth that I’ve read has always said dragons have one made through their entire lives, and when Jinx came into the picture for Emory, I figured eventually they would hook up and Jinx would be Emory’s mate.
So, I’m suspecting in this book that the ones who are trying to kill Jinx this time, is the Connection. I think it’s probably because Jinx is becoming ever more powerful, and they are probably afraid she will overthrow them. Also, they probably don’t like the fact that she has dueling elements that she can control now, because Samantha from the previous book and her girlfriend each gave Jinx there a power (one was a water elemental one was a fire elemental) to fight Benedict.
I also have a feeling that if Jinx keeps taking on all these powers through glimmer, it’s going to start causing her problems in upcoming books but will see how this book goes because I’m excited to read it. Especially, if we get more details between the interlude between Jinx and Emory.
3 Okay so in the last book, we find out that Lucy Jinx’s best friend is sleeping within an incubus and the incubus is taking advantage of her by feeding off of her repeatedly, which is a big no-no in the other realm. We also find out that Stone was undercover with the drug cartel and that’s why he was no longer temporarily out of Jinx’s life. But that’s not all that’s going on here, Gato has been using his powers to keep Lucy alive which is why he looked so tired and out of it. You see that’s why Gato is an awesome dog he’s a lifesaver. Now to the goodies.
I’m Hoping to See More Interaction between Emory and Jinx because I think that’s going to be an awesome combination and a steamy hot sensation. Mostly I want to see what happens in the love triangle between Stone, Jinx, and Emory. I’m also interested in seeing what they divulge about the myths of the incubus because I’m a big mythology person and I love the myths and legends about mythical creatures, especially the Fay. Needless to say, as I’ve said before I’m excited to read this book so let’s jump right in.
So, a new love interest potential, and a Dragon King no less…so much better than a warlock. I mean come on how can you beat the king of the dragons, when she is already met by the way; And can we say wow about how that last book ended? I mean it was a little stupid of Jinx to cut herself with a glimmer blade knowing it would turn her other, but it was the heat of the moment kind of thing, so I guess it’s okay. But what is that mistake going to cost Jinx and, so let’s get to the goods that I am hoping to see in this book.
I’m hoping that Jinx gets awesome powers because she cut herself with the glimmer blade. I’m also hoping that she gets to keep the glimmer blade, you know as a kind of thank you for saving my son type of gift. I’m also hoping that the king of the dragon's is going to start developing feelings for Jinx. This way when Inspector Stone comes back then they have a triangle that’ll add some spice to the story. Then Jinx has to choose which one she wants more, the detective that swept her off her feet and introduced her to this crazy world, who she can no longer trust; or the king of the dragons who seems to have inserted himself in Jinx’s investigation.
An investigation, that is full of murder and drugs. I’m also really excited to see what other cool stuff Cato can do because her Great Dane is awesome. I think as jinx grows so will Cato, which is one of the reasons why I am very excited to read this next book in the series of The Other Realm by Heather G Harris. Let’s get started with glimmer of hope.
So, a detective story yes, I love my detective stories. And from what I can infer from the synopsis of the story it’s going to be a good one. From the mythical lands of Dragon’s, werewolves, vampires, and witches. All sorts of Fay that you can think it’s sounding like it is packed in this book. When I hear the synopsis of the story, it makes me think of a TV series called the gates that was a one season wonder. It was a TV series about all sorts of mystical creatures living in a gated community. This community had restricted community members because they were mythical creatures. I’m hoping this book is going to turn out to be a lot like that series.
Either way I’m excited to start reading the series mostly because, this is another series my husband’s reading that he wants me to read with him but I’m excited simply because the dog in this book sounds awesome because it is a hell hound and hell hounds' rock.
Okay so in the prequel to this book, there really wasn’t much detective inspecting and murder mystery going on about the book. But from what it sounds like from this book, we might actually have a little bit of a detective agency going on here. So, it appears that Bonnie is an assistant to a detective, now it’s starting to make sense where the detective in the case of his coming into play .Let’s hope to see something exciting about this book that the other books seem to be lacking, it was a good book but I didn’t have a detective field so that one. That being said let’s move on to my hopes.
I am hoping that in this book we actually see some detective work. Otherwise, the title is misleading and that just kinda irks me a bit. So, this is supposed to be a paranormal book, which I’m excited for I love paranormal, weird mystery, detective stories, all of it that’s totally my thing. But I’m really hoping that she also gets to include her dog because, dogs have keen senses and I think there is something
A vampire detective, talk about a sucky job, pun intended. I want to believe this is going to be a good hidden gem type of a book, but I’m not sure if I like the vampire detective thing. First of all, she’s not going to be able to do anything during the day because she’s going to get burned by the sun. And most of the places she needs to investigate and talk to people are probably going to be during the day, unless she has like an underground tunnel thing then I guess that might work. This book was recommended to me by my husband, so, I'm hoping it’s going to be a good one because he seems to like it.
From what I can infer from the synopsis; I’m hoping this book is going to be hilarious, because it’s saying in the description that it is funny and if there is romance even better. The cover of the book as a blonde female in the leather outfit, (which I’m assuming is the vampire detective), and behind her is a dog or at least what looks like a German Shepherd. So, I’m really hoping that the dog is going to be a key factor in this series with the vampire detective, that would make me super happy because I love puppies and dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I’m also expecting a lot of action in this book, because it’s a detective book so there has to be action. Now I am usually pretty good at figuring out the plot of the story, and sometimes even the killers in the book before their revealed, so I’m hoping this book is going to throw me for a good loop as well, come up with the unexpected and not have everything be too obvious in the beginning. To me that would be a good read and the perfect hidden gem.
There is a companion series to Blood and Ash called Flesh and Fire. I highly recommend reading this series first because this book will spoil this series for you, or if you read this book first you might be confused about some of the events in this book because you didn’t read the companion series.
Now down to the nitty-gritty, so Poppy (from blood and ash) finally wakes up and Serafina (from the flesh and fire Series) The Queen of the god Ascended to a primal… This is a great beginning to this book which is book 5.5 for the Blood and Ash series, and 4.5 for The Flesh and Fire series. I love the title of this book too it’s a nice little tie between the two series. Now for the best part,
To be perfectly honest, I am hoping to read some of these dalliances that Miss Willa had, I mean come on that book has been the bane of Poppies existence, but in a funny way because it’s a fixture in the Blood and Ash series by Casteel always mentioning it. So, I want some of these scandalous stories. But in all actuality, I think it will simply be a recounting of the two books to prepare for the launch of the new Book “Born of Blood and Ash” which come out on August 13, 2024. Either way, I am hoping that this book will fill in some of the blanks I have about all of the books. Like the timeline from when Milec left Iliseeum and became king of Atlantis, to when Ires left Iliseeum in search of his twin. I am also hoping to get some more insight in the totally different ways Willa interfered in the destinies of the favored characters in all of the books.
I don’t know why I am not surprised, but Serafina sacrifices herself for the good of her new people and the man she has grown to love. But now she is in the hands of the cold-hearted Kolis, who murdered his own brother and his brother wife, the man who tortured Nyktos his own nephew. Now he has Sera in his claws and a war of Primals is about to begin.
Sera as yet to ascend but in the last book it appears that she was nearing her ascension and ultimately her death. I truly believe that it’s gonna Kolis who ultimately saves Sera because of his love for Sotoria. I hope to see Sera Ascend in this book and ultimately become the Primal of Life and gets rid of Kolis and back with Nyktos where she belongs. But will she be the same person when she finds him again.
Wow, So the Primal of Death cannot Love. This is shocking since Sera was trained her whole life to kill him once he fell in love with her. I knew she was going to fall in love with him too and not be able to go through with killing him. But I am rather disappointed in Sera's skills as an assassin, I was hoping that her training would allow her to at least stand up against gods since she was trained to kill Primals who are more powerful than gods. But Ash is a badass, he can incinerate people, turn them into nothing more then Ash in the wind.
I am still really hoping to see how Sera and Ash create the wolven, and now that we know Sera is the primal of life, I am hoping that she goes through her culling in this book and that she somehow gets Ash to actually fall in love with her. I am also hoping to see a little bit more of the Draken and their powers unleashed.
So, from the inferences from the From Blood and Ash book from the blood and ash series, (which I unfortunately read all of the book before reading this one) we can assume the Sera is the original maiden that was stricken from the records. But for her to be an assassin on top of that is just awesome. I mean what it with the guys in this world liking women who stab them. But lets get to the goodies of this blog.
I am really hoping to see Sera’s awesome power as an assassin, and how she handles her god that she is tasked with killing. I anticipate that she will instead fall in love with her target not be able to follow through with killing him because they are heart mates. Now this might be asking too much in one book but Spoiler Alert... I am really hoping to see Sera really grow into her power especially her creating the wolfen. But that might not be till much later in the books.
I have the wonderful honor to read this book before it comes out, which for me is amazing because I am one of the many who loves cheese and always find a way to sneak it into my diet. Give me a bottle of wine and some cheese any day of the week and I will love it but let’s get serious here for a minute. This book is about a woman who has a miscarriage and is recovering from a failing marriage, but she comes home to help her family. From everything read so far about this book in reviews and from the synopsis this is gonna be a powerful book and really hit home with a lot of women, so I am gonna tag this book as Women fiction as well as fiction for that reason. Now for the good part...
Of course, I hope they have a small section about the cheese at least, but no seriously, I am hoping to see the main character Marina continue to struggle with her marriage and miscarriage through out the book and that it’s not something just mentioned then forgotten about. I am hoping to see her struggle and then see her eventual acceptance at least with everything that happened to her. I think if that happens that will make this a super powerful book; and that’s not even mentioning how she gives up her life in New York to come home to help her family. That is a sacrifice that is hard to come back from, let's just say I am excited to get started and to read this book, and hopefully learn a little about my cheese lol.
Ok Let's take a step back here, Poppy is amazing. She is not only a a primal but a powerful one and if I am not mistaken, Necktus the leader of the Dracon is basically hinting that Poppy is the next primal of life and death. He hints that Poppy isn't as powerful as Serafina YET... Did you catch that yet. To me that sounds like Poppy's power is only in it's infant stages right now but she will be just as powerful if not more so than the current king and queen of the gods. I have a feeling just form the references made in the previous books, that Casteel and Poppy Might become the next King and Queen of not just the world but of the gods as well.
Wow! That is all I have to say for this book. As Poppy comes into her power, the things she says and does would make Casteel proud. But let’s take a step back for a minute. Isobath was the Queen of Soules the whole time and talk about having sympathy for the enemy. In the previous book you almost feel bad for Isobath with the loss of her son and love of her life, no wonder she goes crazy. But this just goes to show you that love is powerful but is it more powerful then hate.
I feel that in this book we will find that out because the title alone gives away what this third book is about “The War of Two Queens. I mean come on the last book end with Poppy chopping off the head of the King of Soules if that isn’t a declaration of war I don’t know what is. Needless to say, I am excited to read this next book and see Poppy unleash herself on the Queen of Soules her mother. I am also hoping that Poppy and Kiran can save Casteel before he loses his mind again. I anticipate that this will be another good book in this series and who know maybe it will become my next favorite.
For this story I am rereading the book, but why am I rereading this book? It is simple but look at things this way, books one and two set the stage for the plights of the characters. But at the end of book 2 Poppy goes from hating and stabbing the man to loving him unconditionally. Now they are married and about to be crowned king and queen of Atlantia. But how can that happen? Its simple love conquers all and it goes double for this next book in the Series of blood and Ash.
First off the book starts off right where we left off at the end of book two with Poppy, Casteel, his mother and father, Alistair, the royal guards, and all of the wolven in Atlantia standing there ready to fight each other. Secondly, this book is where the truths become known and all the lies as well as little insinuations throughout the first and second books start to come together and make sense. This book kept me interested right up to the end and eager for the next book. This book makes me Love, “Love,” and the fact that it conquers continuously through the books makes me love, ‘love” all the more. Because love truly conquers all.
Poppy has left one captor only to find another, but this captor can not only steal her life but her body as well. Casteel Da`Neer Dark Prince of the Atlantia holds his kingdom with a ruthless but gentle hand. Loved by his people and feared by his enemies, he strikes the balance a ruler should have. But when his eyes fall to the onto Poppy the woman he betrayed, can he be redeemed and will Poppy be able to see past the lies she's been told her whole life, to love a man who has betrayed her several times.
Join us on this next action-packed Adventure as we follow the story of Poppy and Casteel as they fight not only two kingdoms going to war, but each other’s love for the other as well.

Radiance by Grace Draven is a captivating tale that flips the traditional beauty and the beast narrative. As I delve into the story, I root for Brishen and Ildiko, who are thrown together in an arranged marriage between two vastly different species. Brishen, a Kai prince, is considered a beast by human standards, while Ildiko, a human noblewoman, finds herself in a world where she is the odd one out. The synopsis hints at their wedding, but beyond that, it leaves much to the imagination, sparking curiosity about the journey they will embark on together.
The synopsis may be sparse, but it’s clear that Brishen and Ildiko’s story is about more than just their wedding. It’s about the growth of their relationship as they navigate the complexities of their distinct worlds. I hope to see them face and overcome the inevitable challenges that come their way, discovering the depths of each other’s hearts in the process. Their initial awkwardness and differences seem ripe for a compelling narrative filled with tension, growth, and love.
I’m particularly intrigued by how their love will blossom despite their differences. The beauty of Radiance lies in its promise to explore the essence of love beyond appearances and societal expectations. Ildiko’s courage to embrace life with Brishen, despite his beastly appearance and Brishen’s willingness to cherish a human bride, suggests a story rich with emotional depth. I’m eager to uncover the layers of their relationship, the moments of tenderness, and the trials that will test their bond. As they navigate their new life together, I hope to find a narrative that goes beyond the surface, revealing the true beauty in their union.
I hate to say this, but this book reminds me of the Blood and Ash Books which I am hoping I am wrong about. Mostly because we have another prince that falls in love with a courtesan another forbidden love. But that aside I am looking forward to reading this book and hoping that we actually have a completely different story.
That being said just from reading the synopsis it sounds like Calista might be a strong empath. Empaths usually have very good intuition because they are often misunderstood and often called witches even though in most cases that isn’t so. The fact that she has to hide from others also confirms for me that she had more abilities than just good intuition. I do hope we have a lot of action in this book, because I love my action books. But we’ll see what this book holds for us.
