You are cordially invited to the Wedding of Jinx and Emory.
Unfortunately, so are the Connection. A shocking arrest throws the guests into disarray and threatens my happily ever after. I think I can calm things down but they quickly go from bad to worse when I’m hauled bodily away from my own wedding.
Betrayed, alone and furious – I have plenty of time to plot my revenge. They’re not even going to see me coming. Whoever said revenge is a dish best served cold didn’t know a damned thing. Revenge is hot and fiery and I’m going to rain hell on the ones responsible for tearing me away from Emory on our wedding day.

This is the seventh book in the Other Realm series. Don't miss this internationally best-selling series if you like humor, heart, a strong heroine and a slow burn fade-to-black romance.

I'm still reeling from the disappointment of not getting to see Emery and Jinx's wedding in the previous book. All that build-up and hype, only to have it left hanging in the air. I'm not even going to go into details, I'm still too salty about it. But, moving on to Revival of the Courts, I hope Emory and Jinx finally get their wedding in this book. But from the sound of it, it doesn’t seem as though that’s going to happen.
Of course, I'm also intrigued by the fact that Jinx gets taken away by the connection before the wedding. What did she do? What's going on? I'm dying to know more. From what I can gather from the synopsis, it seems like Jinx is going to be going after the daemon before she can finally have her happily-ever-after with Emery. I'm hoping that we get to see some amazing teamwork between Jinx and Emery as they take on the daemon together. They've had some great moments in previous books, and I'm excited to see what they come up with this time around.
On a more personal note, I'm absolutely loving Little Indie, the newest hellhound that Jinx acquired. She's just so adorable, and I'm hoping we get to see more of her in this book. And please, for the love of all things good, let Gatto get his strength back! He's one of my favorite characters in the whole series, and I don't want anything to happen to him. Anyway, onto the next book keep posted for the newest blog hopefully in the next day or two.
I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that is Revival of the Courts, the latest installment in Heather G Harris's captivating world. As I turned the final page, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness that this chapter of Emery and Jinx's journey has ended. Their story has been a wild ride, full of twists and turns that left me breathless and begging for more. But, as I always say, when one door closes, another opens, and I'm thrilled to be diving into the next saga in this rich and vibrant universe.
Revival of the Courts was a masterclass in storytelling, with surprises around every corner that left me gasping for air. I won't lie, I was devastated by the sudden turn of events at the beginning of the book - Emery and Jinx's wedding, torn apart before it even had a chance to begin. It was a bold move, but one that paid off in the end, as it set the stage for the epic conclusion that followed. And what a conclusion it was! The action was non-stop, with heart-pumping battles and heart-wrenching moments that left me on the edge of my seat.
As I look back on the book, I'm still wishing for more. I wanted to see Indie grow into her role as a potential hellhound, learning from Gatto and becoming a formidable force alongside Jinx. Alas, it was not meant to be - at least, not yet. But I'm excited to see what's in store for these characters as they embark on their next adventure. And speaking of adventures, I must warn readers: this book is full of cautionary tales, so be sure to read the spoilers section of this blog if you're worried about being spoiled. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on the excitement that awaits.
I'm writing this warning to alert readers about disturbing and problematic content in Chapter 9 of Heather G. Harris's book, Revival of the Courts. As I read through the book, I was deeply invested in the story and characters, but unfortunately, chapter 9 took a dark and disturbing turn that left me feeling uneasy and concerned.
As Jinx is being interviewed by the Connection, I was shocked to discover that the officer, Randell, physically abuses her under the pretense of investigating her claims. The way he manhandles her, using his power to intimidate and dominate her, is deeply disturbing and raises serious red flags. The fact that he uses magic-canceling cuffs to restrain her only adds to the sense of helplessness and vulnerability she feels.
What's even more troubling is that Randell explicitly threatens Jinx with other forms of abuse, insinuating sexual abuse as a means of overpowering her. The level of control he exerts over her is chilling, and it's clear that he's using his authority to exploit and manipulate her. As a reader, it's uncomfortable and unsettling to read this kind of behavior, and it's essential to be aware of these triggering themes before continuing with the book. If you're sensitive to sexual assault, or emotional abuse, please be prepared for a challenging and disturbing read ahead.
Additionally, I want to note that this book contains a dual language element, which may be unfamiliar to readers who are new to Heather Harris's work. The author's use of language is intentionally evocative and immersive, but it may also include graphic descriptions or subtle hints at violent or disturbing acts. If you're sensitive to mature themes or are not prepared for this level of graphic display, please exercise caution when reading this book.
